Veiled Vendetta

CHAPTER TWELVE

She looked back and it was Luiz, he came and sat beside her. She said 'No, just my friend from the previous school.' Luiz looked at her and asked 'What was your previous school's name? you never told us.' Izzy replied 'You guys never asked, It was Ace Residential High School. I lived in the hostel facility of Ace.' Luiz then said 'Ace cool, I heard the school students are spoiled, rich kids.' Izzy looked at him and said 'You are rich. Others are rich but you guys aren't spoiled, are you? Well, every school has some rotten apples don't they.' Luiz said 'You are right. Anyway, I was searching for you.' Izzy replied, 'Why?' Luiz responded, 'Our moms are here.

Izzy went to the principal's office accompanied by Luiz, finding all her friends waiting outside. Nina noticed them and called out, 'Look, Izzy is here.' The group gathered around Izzy, and Evy stated, 'We were waiting for you. We wanted to go inside together.' Agreeing, Izzy nodded, and Alex knocked on the door. As they entered, they found all their mothers seated inside. The principal motioned for them to join their mothers. Evy's mother expressed, 'I heard about what happened. How could this happen?' Secretly, Izzy pondered about her own parents' reaction in a similar situation. However, she refrained from mentioning it. Nina's mother chimed in, 'I also learned that the ball was meant for my Nina. Thank goodness Izzy was there to catch it.' Izzy smiled at her words. The principal intervened, 'We have already expelled those girls from the school.'

Don't worry, there's nothing to fear," reassured Izzy's mom. "Just because those girls are gone doesn't mean it can't happen again. What if another student targets Izzy next time?" Concerned, she raised her point. Luiz's mom chimed in, "Didn't those girls also face a similar attack? They tried to scare Evy. It indicates it might happen again in the future." Sensing the need to contribute, Izzy spoke up, "In the audio, we heard those girls weren't fond of each other initially. Their attack could be a result of betrayal among themselves." Blake supported, "Yeah, that's a possibility.

Once the conversation ended, the students left the room, each one heading outside to meet their mothers waiting in their cars. However, Izzy stayed behind in the office, choosing not to leave immediately. As the room emptied, Izzy lingered behind, addressing the principal with a firm tone, "I'm fine with my parents being called for formal meetings, but unnecessary matters, especially ones like today, would be better handled by me. I can manage these situations." Without waiting for a response, she strode out. The principal remained seated, contemplating the unusual assertiveness in Izzy's words.

The group gathered to see their mothers off, and Izzy joined them. Luiz inquired, 'Where were you, Izzy?' to which she replied, 'Just had to have a chat with the principal.' Observing Blake engaged in conversation with Nina's mom while Nina spoke with Blake's mother, Izzy noticed their amiable bond. Wondering about her own mother's absence, she asked, 'Mom, where's your car? Should I call Mr. Butler?' Her mother reassured her, 'No worries, Izzy. I came with Mrs. Sanders; she picked me up from work. I'll be going with her.' Surprised, Izzy responded, 'I had no idea you and Luiz's mom got so close.' Her mother jokingly whispered, 'We even discussed your and Luiz's marriage.' Shocked, Izzy exclaimed loudly, 'MOM!' Her mother chuckled, 'Just kidding, but I genuinely like Luiz.' Dismissing her mother's comment, Izzy retorted, 'You don't even know him.' Her mother shared, 'True, but his mother briefed me about him.' Following her mother, Izzy approached Luiz and Mrs. Sanders. 

Introducing herself to Luiz's mom, Izzy's mother jokingly commented about Izzy being a troublemaker. Mrs. Sanders playfully responded, asking Izzy to take care of her son, to which Izzy agreed, though privately musing that Luiz had been quite talkative around her. Luiz, in turn, urged his mom to attend her client meeting, observing the luxury cars of the mothers as they departed. Watching from their classroom windows, the students observed the elegant departure.

As Izzy and her friends made their way to their classrooms, she turned to Blake and remarked, 'You seem to have a good bond with Mrs. Taylor.' Blake nodded, 'Yeah, I often visit when picking up Nina. They're aware of our relationship, and our families get along well.' Izzy acknowledged, 'That's nice.' Walking beside Blake, Nina overheard and chimed in, 'Do you guys think Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Wilson are becoming besties now? They hit it off.' Izzy responded, 'Seems like it.' Jade quipped in, 'Who knows, maybe the families will be connected in the future.' Luiz and Alex exchanged glances but stayed quiet. Izzy playfully tapped Jade's head and joked, 'Hey, don't start. If other girls hear you, they'll come after me.' The group chuckled at Izzy's remark.
