In Izaiah's journal, Izzy stumbled upon a surprising revelation. She discovered an entry detailing an incident where her brother had attempted to protect a boy named Luiz from Chris. This unexpected connection left Izzy reeling with newfound insights.
"Hi princess. It's your big brother Izaiah here. Today, I got moved to another class. It's not something I'm upset about, but it's disappointing. I thought I was doing well in my classes, but it seems like I'm not. Something really unpleasant happened today. I witnessed one of my classmates bullying a junior outside our classroom. The poor kid looked frightened, and it made me feel terrible. I couldn't just stand by and watch. I decided to step in and confronted the bully, whose name turned out to be Chris. I told him to stop what he was doing. He responded with, 'Who are you to interfere? You might come from Class A, but now you're in Class B. Everyone follows my lead here.' You might suggest, 'Bro, just beat him up,' but remember, we didn't learn boxing to harm others. I asked the junior to leave and head to his classroom. Chris glared at me and threatened, 'From now on, I'll make you my punching bag.' Don't worry, I'll be okay."
"Hi Princess, remember the junior I mentioned yesterday? His name is Luiz, and today, he came to thank me. I assured him it wasn't an issue. However, afterward, he began shadowing me everywhere. When I asked him why, he responded, 'I want to be friends with you. I heard you were in Class A. Can you help me with my studies?' I couldn't turn him down, so I advised him to ask me if he had any questions. As for Chris? Let's not talk about him."
"Hi, today was weird, but I'm okay. I asked the principal why I got shifted to Class B, but he didn't say much. I'll work hard and aim to return to Class A."
I don't think I can transfer back to Class A. I'm feeling exhausted.
I discovered it wasn't my studies causing the issue. I suspect someone played a prank on my marks. I can manage Chris, so I'm fine, I guess.
I reviewed my papers today, and my marks were normal. I'm unsure why I got moved to Class B. I also felt like someone was trailing me all day. Perhaps I'm overthinking.
I'm getting fatigued more quickly nowadays. Chris is making me do his chores and bossing me around, but it's manageable. I'll have to endure it for a while, I suppose.
"I need to discuss this Avenue Company matter with Dad. They keep approaching me after school. I wonder what that's about. The principal isn't a great person either. I overheard him talking on the phone today when I asked him to shift me back to Class A."
It's clear that Izzy is deeply affected by her brother Izaiah's journal and the distressing entries. Her determination to uncover the truth and clear Izaiah's name shows her strong character and loyalty to her brother's memory. Luiz's connection to Izaiah could indeed provide valuable insight into understanding the situation more profoundly. This strong resolve to seek the truth will likely drive Izzy's investigation further to uncover the real circumstances surrounding Izaiah's situation.Izzy sat in her usual spot in the classroom, her mind swirling with a whirlwind of thoughts. The recent encounters with Luiz, the cryptic behavior she sensed from him, and the unsettling shift of her desk from her brother's to a new one were all spinning in her mind. Lost in her contemplation, she barely noticed the start of the class.
As the lesson progressed, Izzy remained in her own world, her focus wavering. Her friends, noticing her absence and concern, exchanged worried glances, silently communicating their shared apprehension about Izzy's distant demeanor.
The lunch bell rang, breaking the trance Izzy was in. Her friends gently pulled her out of her reverie, leading her towards the cafeteria. However, even amidst the chatter and hustle of the lunchtime crowd, Izzy remained lost in thought, sitting quietly at their usual table.
Soon, a message from the school manager summoned them to his office. They gathered around him, and he delivered unexpected news—there had been a break-in at the principal's office. It was a puzzling revelation, and the manager wanted the student council, including Izzy and her friends, to get to the bottom of it.
Jay, one of Izzy's friends, cautiously suggested, "Sir, perhaps it could be a random burglary?"
The manager shook his head firmly. "I doubt a common thief would target a school, especially the principal's office," he replied.
Jade murmured, almost under her breath, "I wouldn't be surprised. There could be a lot of valuable things in there."
Evy shot a quick glance at Jade, silently urging her to keep quiet. "We'll do our best, sir," Evy said to the manager, promising to uncover the truth behind the unsettling break-in.
The group returned to the cafeteria, finding their seats as the usual lunchtime buzz filled the room. Evy exchanged a look with Alex, silently communicating a plan. Alex nodded and headed off to grab lunch, while Evy took a seat beside Izzy.
Luiz, without a word, fetched lunch for Izzy and sat down beside her. Concern etched on Evy's face, she leaned closer to Izzy, inquiring, "Izzy, are you alright? You seem off today."
With a forced smile, Izzy responded, "I'm okay," before digging into the meal Luiz had brought her. The rest of their friends soon joined, the atmosphere slightly tense.
In the midst of the muted conversations, Izzy broke the silence, her voice resolute, "Can you all tell me about the day of Izaiah's incident?"
The clatter of cutlery stopped abruptly, all eyes fixed on Izzy. Nina, clearly taken aback, cautiously questioned, "Why do you want to know, Izzy?"
"I just want to understand more. What were you all doing that day?" Izzy's gaze scanned each face, but her friends exchanged looks, a silent understanding between them, yet no one uttered a word. It was Luiz who finally spoke up.
"It was an accident, Izzy. No one knows what really happened that day," Luiz said softly, a mix of emotion evident in his voice.
Izzy locked eyes with Luiz, a hint of something unsaid flickering in her expression as she asked directly, "And what about you, Luiz? What were you doing that day?"
