2012.
Gobi Desert, Mongolia.

The hot wind blows my hair and sand into my mouth. I spit it out, looking around to see sand and only desert sand, all around me.

Where the fuck am I?

"Uh, Jarvis? Dad?" I called out. When nothing happens, I tapped my ear to find that my comm has fallen out. Shit.

I take another look around me, only to spot a familiar green clad god, standing on a rock. He's gesticulating, flapping his hands around.

I got up to my feet and made my way towards him. The anger bubbling up in me wanted me to just push him off the elevated ground but I just decided to be rational. Maybe he knows what's going on.

"-nd I am burdened with glorious purpose." He declares. It was then I realized there were people in front of him.

They blinked at him, clearly not understanding what he's saying. They spoke another language but by their tone, I knew they were asking questions.

I stepped forward, catching his eye and he turns to me. Recognition flashed in his eyes before he scowls.

"Did you follow me?" He asked and my frown deepened.

"What? I should be the one asking what you did to me and why I'm here." I pointed out.

"I-" he's cut off by a warbling sound. We both turned to see an orange door appear out of thin air. "Never mind."

A couple of armed men walked out, clad in black uniforms. And a stick. Really, a stick. What are they going to do, whack us with it?

"Don't touch that." Loki yells, moving towards them. They pointed the glowing end of their sticks at us, making me really confused.

Were they some kind of government officials, if they were, how the fuck did they make that door appear out of thin air? I don't think any country is that technologically advanced yet.

Before I could ask questions, another door appears, and this time a woman steps out.

"Appears to be a standard sequence violation." She says as she pulls out a device. "Branch is growing at a stable rate and slope."

"Variants identified." She says as she locked her gaze on me and Loki.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I beg your pardon." Loki asked in a more polite way.

"On behalf of the Time Variance Authority, I hereby arrest you for crimes against the Sacred Timeline."

A/N: Wow, wow, wow, wow. Wow. I don't actually know what to say. I can't believe we've come to the end of this book.

I can't even believe I came this far, I mean 10k reads on The Golden Daughter? I still can't believe it, I just took a big leap of faith last year and decided to post the first part of book one and now it has thousands of reads.

Thank you to everyone that came this far with me. Thanks to the silent readers, thanks to the constant voters, thanks for not giving up on this book during my five months break. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

About this 'Loki' part of the story, I don't know where it's headed yet. All I know is, it's gonna happen, when? I don't know but it's gonna happen. Right now I'm focusing- well trying to, on my other work in progress, Liv's story. It's coming along slowly but surely.

Anyways, thank you once again for sticking till the end. See you when I see you. Until then, feel free to ask any questions that's bothering you about this series and I'll try my best to answer. Maybe not immediately but eventually.

Okay! I think I've said enough. Bye!!
