The next few weeks passed by in a blur. Loki and I fell into a comfortable routine. We'd wake up together, get ready together, have breakfast together, head down hand in hand.
I started to hang out with 142 during the afternoons, at first she was reluctant but I warmed my way into her heart. What can I say, I'm very lovable.
Early parts of the evenings are spent watching the contest. I haven't actually seen Grandmaster's beloved champion. I've only learnt that he's a savage and well loved contender.
Later parts of the evenings are spent in our lodge with Loki reading me to sleep.
My back slams against the ground harshly again as I groaned out in pain.
"Up." She breathes as I rolled to my stomach, sweat soaking my skin and I glared up at her to see her standing there with a small smirk, barely sweating at all.
I helped myself up, getting into stance again- for the umpteenth time. I must admit, I am learning fast from this, especially after the last unexpected punch to the face. Nat and Steve always went easy on me, the twins and I often sparred physically but she was going full force on me and I liked it.
We started to spar again and this time it ended with my back to the floor, with one hand pinned above my head and the other pinned on my stomach. I trashed- well tried to, but she's freakishly strong, almost as strong as-
"It's cute to see you try, princess." She says and I glared, glowing up my hands. She sends me a dry look and I stopped, still breathing heavily.
I paused when I realised I could use this position to my advantage. I licked my lips, glancing up at hers and it catches her attention. I raised my head as I parted my lips and she leans down slightly.
When I see she's distracted, I lift my hips with everything in me and her eyes widened as she lost her balance. I quickly switched our position, placing myself in a position that wouldn't allow her to repeat my move.
"Nice move." She taunts and I rolled my eyes.
The loud buzzing of her alarm cuts off whatever comeback I wanted to make and I rolled off her.
"Same time tomorrow, don't be late." She says as she walked out, grabbing a bottle of alcohol on her way out.
I sit there for a few minutes trying to catch my breath, sweat still covering my body.
You might me wondering why I was doing this, no reason. Other than the fact that I just started getting these nightmares that I lost my powers permanently and I became totally useless without them.
"Attention Sakaarians!" Grandmaster's voice rings through the whole planet and I groan.
"This is a reminder that tonight is the night for the first time this season that our beloved champion fights. Come out of your shelters, leave you jobs and whatever it is you do and come and watch our champion fight. Only for four-fifty units per head."I rolled my eyes and I got up. I picked up a towel and headed into one of the showers. I hurriedly cleaned myself and changed. I grabbed my green Sakaarian jacket and headed out into the busy street.

I weave through the crowd, the upbeat music loud as I searched for a certain green eyed god.
"I'm right here." He whispered directly behind me and I jump in shock.
"Fuck! Would you stop doing that?" I said, moving to hit him but he moves back, telling me it wasn't really him.
"Now where's the fun in that?" He responded and I rolled my eye.
"Where are you?" I asked as I looked around for the real him.
