Save me!
I flinched again and Pietro's hold on me tightened, he slowly adjusted the blanket around me.
He hasn't let me go since I woke up from my vision in a large crater outside the field of Wakanda.
Or maybe I haven't let him go, either way he was here, with me.
Papa!
I take in a sharp breath as I held him tighter too.
"This is a nightmare." Steve mutters from across the room.
"I've had better nightmares." Nat responds as we all looked at the tolls that kept rising by the second.
"Hey. So that thing just stopped doing whatever the hell it was doing." Rhodey informs us as he walks in.
All four of us rushed towards the other room where Bruce was waiting. In a chamber was the pager we found where Fury was dusted.
I managed to explain what I saw to them. We checked on Clint, Thor and Rocket had gone to check on the Asgardians that arrived with Val yesterday and also the ones I portaled here.
"What have we got?" Nat asks Bruce.
"Whatever the signal is sending, it finally creeped off." Bruce responds.
"I thought we bypassed the battery." Steve asks as Pietro wrapped his arms around me.
"We did. It's still plugged in, it just... it just stopped." Rhodey says and I sighed.
"Reboot and send the signal again." Steve instructs.
"We don't even know what this is." Bruce tries to object.
"Fury did." I piped in and they all turned to me. "Just do it, please."
"You tell us the second you get a signal. I want to know who's on the other end of that thing." Nat says as Pietro and I stilled.
We glanced at each other before turning behind us to see a blonde woman in an aggressive stance, her brown eyes scanning over us. Her suit, the colour of the image on the pager. It doesn't take a genius to know that she's not from around here.
"Uh guys…" Pietro trailed off as we heard shuffling footsteps.
"Where's Fury?" She asked.
Oh god.
