Emma pov:

I walked into the kitchen, paint dripping from my head to my toes. Evelyn looked at me in shock.

"What the heck happened to you?" she asked, her eyes wide.

"Those kids did this to me!" I exclaimed, anger bubbling up inside of me.

"I told you to stay out of their way," she said, shaking her head.

"But I wasn't even talking to them!I was just minding my own business, and they did this to me!"

"Look, I know it's not my place to say this, but maybe you should try to be a little nicer to them,I know they can be a handful, but maybe if you were a little more patient with them, they'd start to warm up to you."

"No way am I going to be nice to them after they've treated me like this,If they're going to be rude, then I'll show them that I'm just as tough as they are."

Evelyn looked at me with concern. "I understand your frustration, but I don't think that's the best approach. Just try to be patient and things might get better."

"No, I'm not going to do that,I'm going to show them that I'm not someone to be messed with."

"Just go and change,Mr. Gosling will be home soon, and we need to prepare for dinner."

I let out a sigh and nodded, knowing that she was right. I walked to my room and began to change out of my paint-stained clothes.

As I did, I couldn't help but feel a little defeated. I knew I had to find a way to deal with the kids, but I wasn't sure how.

Ryan Gosling pov:

When I got home, I changed my clothes and went downstairs to see my kids sitting at the dining table, already waiting for me.

"Wow, You guys are here on time?" I said, surprised.

"Good evening, Dad," George said, a sly smile on his face.

"What's the occasion?" I asked, still a bit puzzled.

"We're just hungry, that's all," Olivia said with a shrug.

But I knew there was more to it than that. My kids were never this well-behaved, and I had a feeling they were up to something.

"So, how was your day?"

"It was fine, Dad," Charlotte said, a little too casually.

I could tell something was off, but I couldn't put my finger on it. "That's it? Just 'fine'?" I pressed.

"Yeah, nothing out of the ordinary," Charlotte said, avoiding my gaze.

Just then, Emma walked into the room and began serving us dinner.

"Wait, why aren't you wearing your uniform?" I asked, confused.

"I, uh, got paint on it today," she said, her voice shaking slightly.

I was starting to get suspicious. My kids were never this cooperative, and now they were acting like everything was normal? Something was definitely up.

I looked at my kids, and they all looked back at me with the most innocent expressions I'd ever seen.

"You can go, Emma,Thank you for your help."

Shenodded and hurried out of the room, leaving me alone with my kids. I turned to them, my suspicions growing.

"Alright, what's going on?"

"Nothing, Dad," George said

Olivia whispered something to George, and they both started to giggle.

"I can't believe Dad smiled at her," Olivia said.

"Let's teach her a lesson tonight."

Olivia nodded to Charlotte, and I saw her drop something on the floor.

"Nanny!" Charlotte shouted

EMMA POV:

As I heard my name being called, I rushed into the dining room.

"What's wrong?" I asked,

"I need some more milk," Charlotte said, pointing to the empty glass. "This one is finished."

As I walked over to her, I didn't notice the banana peel on the floor. I stepped on it and started to fall, but just as I was about to hit the ground, I felt a strong arm grab me. I looked up to see Ryan, looking down at me with a concerned expression on his face.

"Are you okay?"

As he held me in his arms, I couldn't help but stare into his beautiful blue eyes. I felt my heart racing, and I couldn't seem to catch my breath.

I couldn't help but mutter under my breath, "He's so handsome." I could feel my heart beating in my chest, and I was sure that he could hear it too.......
