EMMA POV:
It had been three weeks since the wedding disaster, and Ryan kept sending me messages. I refused to reply, and I didn't pick up his calls. I didn't want to talk to him. I just wanted to forget about him, to forget about everything that had happened. But the more I tried to forget, the more I remembered.I tried to distract myself, to focus on other things. I went to work, I went to the gym, I did everything I could to keep my mind off of it.
"I think you should just pick up his call, You should at least hear him out." Mai said
"I don't want to talk to him, I don't want to hear anything he has to say."
Mai sighed. She knew I was stubborn, but she also knew that I was hurting. She just wanted to help me, but she knew that I had to do this on my own.
"Just think about it," she said, before walking away.
Ryan had been begging me to forgive him, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. No matter how much he pleaded, I couldn't get past what had happened. I couldn't get past the pain and the betrayal.
I knew that forgiveness was important, that it was the right thing to do. But I just couldn't do it. I couldn't let go of the hurt and the anger. I was stuck, and I didn't know how to move forward.
RYAN POV:
"Dad, get dressed, We're going out."Olivia said"To where?" I asked, curious.
"Just get dressed," George said, a mischievous smile on his face.
I could tell they were up to something, but I had no idea what it was. I just went along with it, putting on some clothes and following them out the door.
EMMA POV:
I was sitting at my desk, working on my laptop, when Charlotte burst into the room."Nanny!" she exclaimed, running over and hugging me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, hugging her back and smiling.
"Come with me, I have a surprise for you," she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me toward the door.
I didn't know what to expect, but I followed her anyway. My heart was racing with anticipation.
"Nanny!" George and Olivia said in unison, as they ran over and hugged me.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked, my voice full of surprise and happiness.
"Emma," I heard a voice say, and I turned to see Ryan standing there. I felt my heart skip a beat, and my stomach did a flip. I didn't know what to say. I just stood there, staring at him, frozen in place.
"What's going on here?" I said, my voice full of confusion.
"Emma, I'm sorry, I should have trusted you. I was wrong. I'm really sorry. I love you so much."he said
I stood there, taking in his words. I didn't know what to think, what to feel. I was overwhelmed by all of the emotions flooding through me. I just stood there, silent, my mind racing.
"Nanny, please forgive Dad," Olivia said, her voice filled with hope.
"Please," Charlotte added, her eyes pleading.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong. I was a fool. I'm so sorry."
I stood there, my heart pounding, my head spinning. I was overwhelmed by all of the emotions I was feeling. I didn't know what to say, what to do. I just stood there, frozen in place, my thoughts racing.
George came over to me and tugged on my dress, his big blue eyes staring up at me.
"Nanny, please," he said, making a cute, pleading face.
I couldn't resist his adorable expression. "Okay, fine," I said, giving in. "I forgive you."
The second the words left my mouth, Ryan threw his arms around me and hugged me tightly. I couldn't help but smile, my heart melting at his affection.
"I love you," he said
"I love you too," I said
He leaned in and kissed me, his lips soft and tender. I closed my eyes, savoring the moment.
As he broke the kiss, Ryan knelt down on one knee. I gasped, my heart pounding in my chest.
"Will you marry me?" he asked
"Say yes!" the kids squealed, jumping up and down with excitement.
I looked at Ryan, my heart full of love and joy. "Yes," I said, tears of happiness in my eyes. "Yes, I will marry you."
I could barely hear the kids cheering over the sound of my own heartbeat, but I could see the smiles on their faces. In that moment, everything felt perfect.......
THE END 🤍😒
There's a valuable lesson to be learned here: trust is the foundation of any relationship. Without it, the relationship is built on shaky ground and will eventually crumble.
Trust is not something that comes easily or naturally, but it's worth the effort. It takes time, patience, and a willingness to be vulnerable. But when you have it, you'll find that it's the most beautiful and rewarding thing in the world. So be open, be honest, and above all, be trusting. You never know where it might lead you.
So, I'd like to thank you for following this story from beginning to end.
And a big shout-out to all my fellow writers out there! You're the ones who make this whole experience possible.
And finally, a huge thank you to all my readers. Without you, I wouldn't be able to do what I love you all {🤍💜👍}
