"I heard that you're getting married to Ryan," Noelle said
Joy's face lit up with a smile. "Of course I am! I told you that Ryan was meant for me."
"But... but how did you do it? I mean... did you..."
"Hey, stop right there," Joy said, cutting her off. "I did nothing wrong. I just knew what I wanted, and I went after it. There's nothing wrong with that."
"I hope you're telling the truth," she said, her eyes narrowed.
"Of course I am, I have nothing to hide. I did nothing wrong."
There was a moment of silence, as Noelle considered Joy's words. Finally, she spoke again, her voice still skeptical. "I reserve my judgment. If anything happens, I want to make it clear that I had nothing to do with it."
"Whatever, Let's just go shopping for my wedding dress."
"Of course, girl!" Noelle said, a smile breaking through her stern expression. "It's time to get you looking like a princess!"
EMMA POV:
I was lying on my bed, scrolling through my phone, when I saw the news that Ryan and Joy were getting married. I sat bolt upright, my heart racing, and my mind spinning. How could this be happening? How could they do this to me? I felt like the world was crashing down around me. I didn't know what to do, but I knew I couldn't stay in my room any longer. I jumped out of bed and paced around the room, my thoughts racing. With a surge of determination, I made up my mind. I had to see Ryan, to confront him about what was happening. I stormed out of my house and headed to his office. But when I got there, the security guards refused to let me in. I argued with them, but they wouldn't budge. I started shouting for Ryan.
As I continued to shout, I heard footsteps coming toward me. Then, suddenly, Ryan appeared, looking confused and a bit alarmed.
"What's going on here?" he asked, his eyes darting between me and the security guards.
"Ryan, we need to talk,"
"Come inside," he said, gesturing to the door. The security guards reluctantly let me through, and I followed him into his office. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I took a seat across from him.
"Is it true that you're getting married to Joy?" I asked
"Yes, so what?" he replied
"You can't do this to me, Please, you can't."
"What do you mean? You think I'm going to marry a cheater?"
"I didn't cheat on you," I yelled, my voice breaking.
"Then explain the video to me, What were you doing in the club with that guy?"
"It's not what you think," I sobbed, my tears flowing freely. "I can explain everything. Please, just listen to me."
He stood there, his face hard and unreadable. I could see the hurt and anger in his eyes, and I knew I had a lot of explaining to do. But I didn't know where to start.
"I don't want to listen to you, Get out of my office, and out of my life."
"But, I love you," I said.
"I hate you, Emma, I'm disgusted by you. I don't ever want to see you again."
His words cut me like a knife. I couldn't believe he was saying these things to me. I had never seen him like this before. It was as if he was a completely different person.
"Ryan," I cried, my voice breaking.
"Don't you ever mention my name with that disgusting mouth of yours," he yelled, his eyes full of rage.
"Are you really going to marry Joy?" I asked, my voice shaking.
"Yes, and I'll marry her over and over again, She's the woman I'm meant to be with, not you."
I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was like I was in a nightmare
"Please, Ryan," I begged.
"Get out or I'll have the security escort you out," he said, his voice as hard as stone.
I felt like my world was crumbling around me. I couldn't believe that the man I loved could be so cold and heartless. I wanted to run, but my feet felt rooted to the ground. I just stood there, frozen in place, my heart breaking into a million pieces.........
