EMMA POV:
I sat on the bed, staring at the picture of Ryan on my nightstand. I had sent him so many messages, but he hadn't responded to any of them. I had called him over and over, but he never answered. The tears welled up in my eyes, and I couldn't stop them from falling. I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces. As I wiped my tears, the door opened and Harrison walked in. I jumped to my feet, my heart racing. "What are you doing here?" I yelled
"Emma, I'm here to talk,"
"I don't want to hear anything you have to say Just leave!"
But he didn't leave. He just stood there, looking at me with those piercing blue eyes. "Please, just listen to me,"
"Why did you do that? What did you put in the wine? Why did you take pictures of us? And why did you send them to Ryan?"I yelled
"Okay, let me explain,I did this to help you. I really did."
"No, you didn't, You ruined my life. You took everything from me. You're a liar and a cheat."
"You and Ryan weren't meant for each other,You know that, deep down."he said
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I felt like my whole world was crashing down around me. And then, without thinking, I slapped him.
"Don't you dare say that again, If I can't marry Ryan, why on earth would you think I'd marry you?"
"But I love you," he said, his eyes wide and pleading.
"Love?" I laughed, the sound bitter and angry. "If you loved me, you wouldn't have cheated on me. If you loved me, you wouldn't have destroyed my relationship with Ryan."
"I was just trying to help,"
"Get out of my house. Get out of my life," I said, my voice shaking with anger. "I never want to see you again." With that, I turned and walked out of the room.
RYAN POV:
I sat there, staring at Emma's picture on my phone. I hadn't been answering her calls or messages. I was still hurting from everything that had happened, but deep down, I knew I missed her. I missed her more than I could ever put into words.I thought about all the good times we had shared, all the laughs and the late-night conversations.
"Hey, baby," Joy said as she walked into the room. "When's the wedding? I mean, what's the date?"
"It's up to you to decide," I said, my voice flat and emotionless
"Oh, come on, How about three weeks from now?"
"That's a bit fast, don't you think?"
"My darling, I can't wait to become Mrs. Gosling."
"I know, But maybe we should take it a bit easy, you know?"
"No, I can't take it easy, I seriously can't wait to have your children."
I sighed. "Okay, fine. Let's do it in three weeks." I said, not sure if I was really ready for what was about to happen.
"Thank you," she said She hugged me tightly, and then rushed out of the room, her footsteps echoing down the hallway.I sighed and lay down on the bed
{THE KIDS ROOM}
Joy opened the door to the kids' room."What are you doing in here?" Olivia asked.
"None of your business," she said, her voice full of attitude.
"Now, now, There's no need to be rude."
"Hmph," George said, crossing his arms and looking away.
"Anyway, I have some good news for you both," Joy said, trying to sound cheerful. But the kids were having none of it.
"We don't want to hear it," Charlotte said, her voice just as frosty as her brother
"Oh, you'll love it, Your father and I are getting married in three weeks."
Charlotte's eyes widened in horror. "You've finally gotten your claws into my dad,"
But before Joy could swing her arm, George caught her hand, stopping her in her tracks.
"I won't let you hit my sister,.Now get out."
Joy stood there, her face flushed with anger. "Just you wait,Once I'm married to your father, I'll send you all to boarding school. You'll see." With that, she turned and stormed out of the room.
"We can't let this happen," Olivia said
"Of course not, We need to do something." Charlotte agreed
"We need to stalk her, I bet she's hiding something." George said
"How are we going to do that?" Olivia asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"We'll have to get creative,We'll need to dig deep, and find out everything we can about her."
