There are many emotions that it brings.
From sorrow to little things we chip away at.
Death is only the beginning.
The emotions we are hiding
scare us like a nasty rat
in the depressing songs we sing.
A happy moment becomes a terrible thing,
like when a cute child becomes a brat.
Death is only the beginning.
In our ears, it rings
as the notes go flat
in the depressing songs we sing.
Life dangles by a string.
that is cut by the claws of a cat.
Death is only the beginning.
We think we're safe under life's wings.
It hits us hard when we find out that
death is only the beginning
of the depressing songs we sing.
