IT WAS ALWAYS A BATTLE WITH IRIS
There was always something that Dally was doing wrong. Whether it was a joke that came off a little too strong, or the fact that Dally was in a pissy mood that day and he took it out on her— it always ended in him being the asshole. But this time was different. Usually they would fight about Dally and his attitude, but now it was about something more than that. It was about them and their relationship. How Dally guarded her like a dog or like a diamond that was waiting to be stolen from him.
"Iris, come on!" Dally shouted out to her, banging on her front door as rain dripped off of the browns wisps that hung over his forehead. His hair looked as if it were greased from how wet it was. "Your being annoying man! open the doo-"
The door swung open to reveal Iris in an oversized shirt that only just covered the middle of her thighs. Dally felt himself getting hot and heavy just by looking at her. "What." Iris sneered, placing a hand on her hip and staring him down like a mother about to scold her child. If Dally were being honest, it intimidated him, something that was rare for Dally.
"Can we talk?" Dally asked, seeming somewhat shy with his voice low and his tone sounding the slightest bit sincere. She sighed, looking up at the ceiling as she contemplated his ask. As he were waiting, her feline friend that she was still looking after began to rub up against his legs. He looked at it almost in disgust as he was never really fond of cats. But he tolerated them as some wouldn't hiss and scratch like others would— Lola being a perfect example as she was a sweet cat. "Is your mother home?" he asked, Iris shaking her head no. "Then what's the issue?"
"There is no issue. Not with my mother being here at least, she told me she'll be gone for another couple weeks as an emergency with her friend came up. But what is the issue, is you being here." She barked, lifting her head high, making Dally laugh at her attempt to intimidate him.
"You're cute when you try to be tough, y'know that?" He smirked, attempting to charm her. Though, it added to no effect to their conversation as she simply looked at him with the same frustrated and washed out expression. "Please can we talk, Iris?"
He was practically begging now, and Iris could see the desperation in his eyes. He never begged as he always got what he wanted, except this time he wanted her, and she was being stubborn.
Iris sighed deeply before shifting her body to the side, allowing Dally to slip past her and into his home. "Shoes" she pointed down, Dally quickly slipping his soaked, muddy shoes off and kicking them to the side. Lola began to now push up against Iris's legs, her hands finding their way around the cats torso before lifting the fluffy creature into her arms, cradling it like a baby. "So.. why are you here" She asked, staring into his dark brown eyes that were oh so intimidating. If Iris were being honest, in that moment, Dallas looked perfect. The way his soaked hair fell over his forehead, how his lips still had a few tiny droplets on them and how she could see the figure of his abs poking through his soaked shirt.
"I.. I want-" He cut himself off, practically grinding his teeth for what he was about to say next felt shameful to him. He never apologised, so the fact he was about to for the first time in a long time made his skin crawl— but he knew he couldn't ruin things with her, so he just had to bite the bullet. "I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking acting that way. It was.. childish of me and i'm sorry." He rambled, wanting to get it over with as quickly as possible.
His eyes moved from the floor up to her face. Her eyes were somewhat wider and more open, surprised at the fact that the Dallas Winston was apologising to her. Often whenever he fucked up, he would simply shrug it off or blame her for his wrong doings. But now, he realised that he has to own up to his actions or else he could lose her forever. "It's fine.." She whispered, stroking the cat that still sat in her arms and against her chest. "You hungry?" She asked, walking toward the kitchen whilst carrying Lola before putting her down on the cold kitchen tiles.
"Yeah.." Dally sighed, walking behind her and sliding his hands around her waist as she began to list off meals that she could make him. "I'm hungry for something else.." he cut her off, smirking into her skin before peppering kisses on her neck.
"Seriously? Is the only reason you came over was because you were horny?" Somewhat frustrated, but also intrigued due to Dally's kisses on her body. He slowly made his way down, lifting her shirt up slightly to reveal her ass before placing sloppy kisses on her cheeks, biting one in the process, making her squeal. "You didn't answer my question, Dal" she laughed out, turning around which put Dally's face right at eye level with her crotch. She lifted his chin up with her hand, Dally's hands slowly moving up and down her bare thighs. "No." She whispered teasingly, Dally rolling his eyes before meeting her face to face, their lips barely touching one another. "What are we.." Iris whispered.
The question caught Dally off guard as they had always avoided it. Whenever someone brought up the topic, they would quickly divert it and change the subject. But now, hearing it come from Iris's mouth, made Dally truly begin to question. "What do you want to be?" He asked softly, cupping her jawline whilst stroking her cheek with his thumb gingerly.
"I want to be with you." she stated bluntly, her cheeks flushed and her eyes desperate. "I want to be more than.. this.. with you" she admitted, her fingers pointing between them.
Dally didn't waste a second before crashing his lips into hers, the kiss desperate and needy, his grasp on her body tightening. They both smiled into the kiss as they felt their hearts connect and their bodies become one, as in that moment they felt more connected than ever. The final admission from them both of being together, wanting one another. It is what they had been waiting to hear from one another, and now that it had finally happened, everything was going to change. They both knew that, and whether it was for the better or worse, they didn't care. All that mattered..
