"CHILD OF SATAN!" the young cat screamed, clawing at Scars' face.
"EVIL!" El Guante Blanco screeched, stabbing him in the chest.
The man that had been mangled by him stood over him, haunting his brain in eerie silence. The bloody and raw flesh of the man's face made him vomit.
His head burned and his body was on fire, bleeding in what felt like every place possible. He couldn't reach for his sword; his arms had been sliced off.
He closed his eyes and waited for death. But it didn't come. He screamed and swore and cried. Nothing but pain.
Then darkness took him.
****
He opened his eyes and groaned. Bright light was shining in his face. Was he dead? Was he in hell?
No; hell didn't have bright lights. Or maybe it did, he wasn't sure. He fully opened his eyes and looked around the room. He was in a hospital.
He tried to get out of bed, but then found out immediately that his paws were strapped down. He swore angrily. Why was he in a hospital?
A nurse came in the room. "And how are we feeling today, Mr. Scars?"
"How long have I been here?" Scars asked through his teeth.
"Ten months," the nurse replied. Scars gasped. He had been imagining this whole thing. He was insane.
No. This was the SIM. He hadn't imagined that; he hadn't imagined the murder victims beating him to death.
"Tell me how I get out of here," he hissed at the nurse.
"Nobody leaves here; you'll die in the outside world. Now, would you like the laughing gas to put you at ease?" Scars was horrified at how cheerful the nurse sounded. He looked to the bedside table. A syringe!
If only he could reach it. He suddenly had an idea, and assumed the role of the mental patient the nurse believed he was. "Uh, could you loosen the restraints? They're making me see things. Evil things."
The nurse smiled.
"Of course, Mr. Scars," she peeled off the bedsheet and undid the binds. That was all the time Scars needed to grab the syringe and stab her in the neck.
"NOOOOO!" She cried as her blood mixed with the medicine leaking out of the broken needle. She was dead within twenty seconds.
Scars started to run, but then two guards blocked his way. He swore. He looked to the window as they advanced on him. That was the only way out.
He ran over to the pane and jumped, pieces of broken glass jamming into his body.
He screamed as he plummeted ten thousand feet to what was seemingly his death when everything went dark again.
He was in a morgue now; the coffins around him confirmed it. It was almost pitch black.
"Hello?" he asked into the darkness, firmly tearing glass out of his flesh. Silence.
Then, they came out of the darkness.
"Lu omni elipsor, de flori skala."
"Lu omni elipsor, de flori skala."
Men and women in hoods, holding candles with blood-red flames.
"What's going on?!" Scars asked frantically. "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!"
"Watch..." one of them breathed, and then the others followed suit. A haunting chorus of the one's word.
"Watch."
"Watch."
"Watch."
"Ohhh...kay?" Scars said. The one who had spoken first moved out of the crowd, holding a mirror.
Scars looked intently, and then he saw it. Puss. He was in a house; what looked like a dead sorcerer lay bloodstained at his feet. He was studying a piece of parchment; reading it. He had his sword out.
"Lu omni elipsor, de flori skala."
Puss stabbed himself, driving the sword all the way through his chest, blood leaking out his abdomen.
He fell to the ground, the red liquid spilling out of all his orifices.
He had ended his own life. But why? Puss' body faded into nothingness, slowly disappearing. And then Kitty was there. She looked around, and then cried, because she knew what had happened.
"Why?" he asked the hooded figure. "Why did he sacrifice himself?"
"Scars," the figure whispered. "You were the one who made this happen."
"What?!" Scars said, backing up against a wall. "No, no. What do you mean?"
"You were the one who controlled Sino's doppelgangers. You controlled Carnage. You started the Great War."
"No," Scars breathed. "NO!"
"You are The Master."
