After walking for hours upon hours, Kitty reached her destination. The Cat Cantina. She hadn't seen the place since she had gone dancing with Puss after they had gotten engaged, and it was looking extremely decrepit from the outside. She slid through the tunnel entrance and found not the local crowd there, but mercenaries and hired assassins, conversing, flirting, and spilling leche on each other.
Kitty groaned, then sat up at the bar. "Leche, please," she told the feline bartender who was missing an eye.
"Ah, I know you. Kitty Softpaws. They all said you were dead."
"Just rumors," she replied. "Listen, I didn't just come here for a drink."
"Yes, I inferred that. Well, then, what do you want?"
"Directions. I'm looking for Cráneo Ensangrentado."
"Señora, you don't want anything to do with that place. Anybody who goes there these days doesn't come out."
"I need to find my husband, and that is the only way. Where is it?"
The bartender pulled out a piece of parchment and gave it to her. "A map," he grunted. Kitty looked it over and found the thief den right in the middle, about a four hour walk from where she was now.
She swigged her drink, bid the bartender thanks, and started to set out right before she was stopped at the door by the dog who had brought about her future death.
