Escape

(Open your eyes, do you hear those moans? Are they hitting someone? Zero?)

Raniel woke up with a severe headache, as he looked around he noticed Zero on the ground, beaten and bleeding.

(How the hell did I allow all this?)

Raniel sat down analyzing and remembering how he had come to that moment. He could appreciate how well armed that room was. Submachine guns of a better design were in each window of the gondola.

(They are quite advanced design, no doubt about it )

The pilot's cockpit door opened and Count Harper coming out with Solangel tied in her hands. She crouched crying worried about Zero. She barely took it with the hands tied, she watched how hurt he was.

- Does he know anything? - The Count questioned one of his henchmen

- He hasn't said anything to anyone, nor does he even know what is happening exactly - Answered who had hit him.

- However our Inspector has already opened his eyes, you can entertain with him until we arrive.

- Don't hit the boy anymore, - Raniel demanded - we haven't talked to anyone. It was not until tonight that I realized that you sent to murder your son. What I haven't deduced yet why and what will you say when you return to the island?

- To return? Communications have been damaged by the storm. Once we arrive at our destination we will send another one that destroys the place and the witnesses. Our gondola will collect the remains of the damaged one and will be the beginning of the end in the Kingdom.

(I understand they are a group of people still upset with the new global Kingdom that we have, they are quite intelligent and focused on their goal. They are so well focused that even this man was able to kill his own son)

- Who are you? Smugglers?

- No Please! Let's say we are an annoying group with the Kingdom. -The Count approached him enough spitting in his face. A moment that Raniel took the opportunity to bite his nose like a furious dog and in turn both fell to the ground.

The Count fell with his body on Raniel. Raniel took advantage of that moment and tore off what was left of his mechanical arm from his elbow, thereby managing to let go, with his arm locked up to the Count almost choking him up.

Solangel rose from the ground, helping Zero while the hitter ran in their direction. Solangel swiftly took the chair where Raniel was and threw it where the man, making them gain some time in which Zero rose from the ground and even wounded ran where the adversary to collide with his body.

Solangel took Zero with the idea of entering the cockpit. When she picked him up, she noticed how pale his wound looked, she had to carry him, almost dragging. They easily opened the pilot's door and then closed it securely. Zero almost without forces took the pilot out of the seat. The pilot hit him with his elbow in the face which caused Zero to misplace for a moment. Solangel was thrown at him causing a struggle between them. The pilot with all his strength took it and pushed her towards the contours of the airship. The fall of the lady uneven the controls of the ship. Just when the pilot was going for her, he slipt with the sudden movement of the airship. Zero threw himself on the stand and protected Solangel who at the same time stabilized the machine.

Between the fight in the cabin the door opened. Solangel saw in the distance that even Raniel struggled with the Count and the hitter. The fight did not look good for the Inspector. The young woman couldn't think of anything else. Just put the airship on steep and turn off the engines.

- The woman turned off the motor and we are falling.- the pilot told the Count

Very quickly, the gondola became steep, which began to make walking impossible. While the men grabbed the ornithopter, they opened the hatch, but not before taking one of the guns and shooting where the cabin was. Zero once again took Solangel and protected her while the bullets fired impacted the machine's controls.

Both the pilot and the kicker opened one of the doors and threw themselves with the ornithopter.

Raniel took the Count at that moment by the neck. - Take the parachute, I'm not done with it yet. - Told to Solangel and Zero

Solangel and Zero took the parachute and headed up the steep ground to the door to jump. Zero helped the Lieutenant very quickly put it on. Inside the bulge where the Zero parachute was found he found a first aid kit next to a flare light which he came up with could use. Through the desperation and inclination of the airship, the gondola was already too steep. Solangel and Zero fell to the ground dropping each item in the package. Both looked at Inspector Raniel Cautillo for the last time. There were no words in those moments that could replace the emotions at that time.

- Do you what to die? Jump! - Raniel ordered them. Zero with tears in his eyes held to Solangel by the hands and they jumped.
