Breathe. Breathe through the pain, Jenna.

I was bound by my hands and feet as I leaned over the padded barrel horse. Sebastián's whip slapped my skin, leaving a sting behind. He was working himself into a frenzy, punishing me for arriving late. I wasn't intentionally late to provoke him; I had simply been stuck in traffic on my drive to Westwood. My usual half an hour commute had taken me over fifty minutes and Sebastian wasn't pleased. He'd been torturing me for the past two hours, refusing to let me come.

"Word, Jenna. Give me your safe word," he grunted from behind me.

"Verde, Master." I had never used our safe word, rojo, to end our play, and it would take much more than a whip to make me use it. I was definitely still at a green even if my ass was burning up.

"Such a good girl. Did you learn your lesson, mi alma?"

I was tempted to say no. I hadn't seen him in over a week, and I missed him. I was desperate to get as much out of our session as I could get.

The whip smacked my upper thigh, gaining my attention. "I asked you a question. Did you learn your lesson, Jenna?" Sebastián chastised.

"Yes, Master," I confessed because I knew to never lie to him. He could read me better than anyone, so he'd know if I was lying.

"Good girl." I felt him approach me and his finger carefully caressed my slit. "So wet. You're ready for me, aren't you?"

"Yes, Master." I braced myself as Sebastián leaned over me and slid inside my channel. He thrusted into me so slowly, painfully slowly. It was driving me wild. "Please, Master," I pleaded with him. "I need more."

"No, Jenna. You made me wait so, now, I'll make you wait."

And, he did. He made me wait until our bodies were slick with sweat. Sliding in and out of me in torturous strokes.

I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping I could convince him to lose some of his control. "Please," I whimpered. "I'm begging you. I need you, Master. You're the only one who can make me feel this good."

"That's right, I'm the only one." And, he began to quicken his thrusts. "The", thrust, "only," thrust, "one." Then, he leaned into me even more, fusing our bodies together, and started to jackhammer into me.

Fisting my hands, I let myself go and screamed through my release.

"Fuck!" Sebastián roared as his cum flooded me.

I was lost in bliss when he undid my hands and feet. My legs wobbled as he lifted me off the barrel horse, so he wrapped his arms around me, holding me up. He pressed his mouth to mine, giving me a kiss so intoxicating that I melted into his arms.

"Come, mi alma," he whispered over my lips. "Time to get some rest." And, he carried me to the bed, tucking me in.

I couldn't help the smile that took over my face at the thought of spending the night. In the eleven months we'd been seeing each other, I could count on one hand the amount of times I had slept over. I sighed with satisfaction and closed my eyes. And, I quickly entered dreamland.

The following morning, I woke up to an empty bed. I wasn't surprised at Sebastián's absence. After all, he had never spent an entire night in the same bed as me. I felt disappointment wash over me as tears filled my eyes.

Why was Sebastián always holding himself back? Why couldn't our relationship progress into something more serious? Was it me? Was I a bad submissive? Was I lacking in any way?

Trying to regain control of my emotions, I got out of bed and went into the bathroom. After washing up, I quickly got dressed and made my way downstairs. I was rushing toward the door when I bumped into Felix.

"Oh, Ms. Holladay. Please excuse me," Felix said, sounding flustered. "Mr. Islas had a meeting with his agent and left earlier in the morning."

I nodded, not bothering to reply. There was no point. It didn't even matter if I was upset about Sebastián leaving without saying goodbye. He hardly ever did.

"I've just returned from an errand he sent me on," Felix explained. "He wished to give you something."

I continued to stand silently as Felix reached into a shopping bag and handed me a jewelry box, wrapped in beautiful green paper.

"Thank you, Felix." I reached for the gift and then turned around and walked away.

I left Sebastián's penthouse and took the elevator down to the garage. As I made my way to my car, I couldn't stop staring at the gift. Once I was inside my car and ready to leave, I decided I couldn't wait any longer and opened Sebastián's present. When I saw what he had bought me, I was left speechless. Inside the box sat a beautiful gold necklace with ten clover leaf motifs, alternating in green malachite and white diamonds. I knew the design and it must've cost a fortune. What did it mean? Was this Sebastián's way of telling me he was ready for more?

I was staring at the necklace, stunned, when a loud banging on my window startled me. I turned around and saw Felix standing outside my car door, breathing heavily. Completely confused, I opened the door. "Is something wrong?" I asked him.

"Ms. Holladay, I'm so sorry. I made a terrible mistake," he exclaimed.

"A mistake?"

"Yes Ms. Holladay, I gave you the wrong gift."

The wrong gift? Of course, he gave me the wrong gift. How could I think Sebastián would give me something that'd cost as much as half my annual salary?

"It's alright, Felix," I mumbled, closing the lid on the necklace and handing it back to him.

He smiled with relief and handed me a new jewelry box. "Thank you, Ms. Holladay."

When he turned to walk away, I stopped him. "Oh Felix," I called out. "I won't say a word of this to Mr. Islas if you tell me who he bought that necklace for."

"Oh, umm," he cleared his throat. "Umm...Ms. Holladay, it's for...it's for his date."

Oof! There went all my hopes and dreams.

"His date? What date?" I asked.

"Well, umm, the cast and production team from Mr. Islas' newest telenovela will be having a  two-in-one party celebrating the holidays and the wrapping of the show."

"And, Mr. Islas has a date to this party?" A date he bought a gold and diamond necklace for?

"Yes Ms. Holladay," he nodded.

"Alright, well, thank you for the information."

I watched him walk away at a loss for words. Was I really that surprised that Sebastián was seeing another woman? A woman he was far more interested in. Shaking myself out of my frozen shock, I shut my car door. Then, I opened my actual gift. Once I saw what Sebastián had sent, I couldn't help but laugh at myself. He had bought me a new submissive collar. It was made out of black velvet with a silver ring in the center. Well, that was all I needed to see to know where I stood with him.

I was just his submissive.

I was just the woman he liked to fuck while he took another woman out as his date and bought her expensive jewelry.

Gathering some strength, I turned on my car and drove out of his building...and out of his life.
