"Azalia." I snarled.

"Finally." She said. "I thought your wolfie senses would have figure it out sooner."

Honestly, I should've seen that coming. One of the other pack wolves shifted and sprung at her. She turned her head, raised her arm and caught the poor thing by the throat. It was his own fault. He should've known not to attack her alone.

Azalia laughed softly, yet menacingly. "Silly young thing. Didn't mommy ever teach you how to treat women?"

The wolf gagged as her grip tightened. He whimpered and began flailing around, this only made Azalia tighten her grip.

"It's a shame really," she smirked. There was a crack and the wolf dropped to the ground, dead. "I could've used you as a guard when we take over."

Dimitri murmmered in my ear. "What are we going to do? One of the Alpha's is dead and the other has got the hell out of dodge."

"I don't know." I whispered. "For now she's the only one."

Azaila looked at us. "You two should speak quieter." She whispered. A smile cracked at the corner of her lips. She began to speak louder. "I'm not alone. Lucifer! Hades! Get your scrawny asses over here!" She screamed. Nothing. She growled. "One moment, lovelies." Azalia disappeared into the bushes.

I dug back into my memory, those two were the ones that Dimitri and I had a fight with only hours before.

Azaila returned dragging the two hounds by their ears.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Lucifer snarled and snapped at Azalia. "We get the point, let go dammit!" He pulled away and rubbed his ear.

Azaila's eyes darted to him. "For you two being under our command 24/7 you should be more careful the way you treat your Alpha, you can lose that ear as easily as you got it you know."

Lucifer rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Where's the big guy anyway?"

"He'll be here soon," Azalia said, "by the way, nice touch on killing his play thing."

Hades laughed, almost like a hyena. "We aim to please."

The packs had done nothing. We were all frozen where we stood. I felt Jade shaking at my side, not from fear, but from anger.

"Oh," Hades added, "the gates are open. The war has begun."

"Excellent." Azaila looked around the crowd. "You pathetic mutts haven't even made a move. Idiots." Fear struck her eyes as movement was made in the back of the crowd.

"Go to hell." It was Silas. He passed us and made his way towards Azalia. He grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up. "Send you and your minons back to hell. You don't belong here." He commanded, spitting through is teeth as he spoke.

Azalia smirked. "Oh darling, I've been there and it was lovely."

Most of the pack had shifted, snarling in an attempt to back up our Alpha.

Archer took a step back. "Something isn't right."

Silas looked back at his kingdom and smiled. "You know...it truly is a shame you're backing up the wrong Alpha." He threw Azalia in the air and caught her in his arms. He held her close and kissed her forehead.

My mother shifted, flicked her head in my direction, and flattened her ears. "Alima...shift. Now."

"Why?"

"I said now!"

I did as she said. I wasn't about to test her.

Dimitri stood in front of me. "What do you mean?" He growled. "You're our Alpha."
