My fangs ripped into the hounds throat. I slammed it down on the ground, and twisted as quick as I could and broke its neck. I left it dead at my paws and looked around.

No casualties yet, but it was still early.

A body slammed into my side. I whipped around and snarled. It was Hailey, from the Weston Pack. She stayed on her back with her belly exposed and gave me a slight smile. I moved back a little as the hound charged her once again. As he launched himself at her, she used her hind paws and threw him at me. I clamped my jaws around him until I felt him go limp.

She nodded at me and raced off back to her group.

I perked my ears and looked around for Zoran. I couldn't find him anywhere. I looked back up where I seen Theo and Hex. Theo was gone.

I growled and raced into the trees. I had to kill Hex. I kept my eyes on her, using my powers. I seen her squeal in pain and look around for her attacker only to find none.

My other powers were useless. Water was a slight advantage as it hurt them, but they recovered quickly.

Some of the groups, mainly the Cadience Pack leaders, were leading their groups into the forest for tree ambushes. Following them closely were the hounds.

I knew I had to be cautious. All my senses worked as one. I also had to constantly keep one eye on Hex and freeze if she looked over. I couldn't risk being seen, even if I was this far into the trees.

I could hear every time she shifted her weight, feel whenever her eyes were my direction, and smell her reeking scent.

I froze as I heard a noise. I turned my head and looked to my pursuer.

"Archer?" I whispered.

"Sorry if I startled you." He spoke as he moved to my side. "I'm here to help you. I know you're going for Hex. You can't do this alone, Alima."

I nodded slightly. I was willing to accept any help at all at this point. "You haven't seen Zor-I mean Dimitri have you?"

Archer shook his head slowly. "I'm sorry. Oh, and Alima?"

"Yeah?"

"I know it's Zoran, and I know he's my dad. I found out a few days ago." He smiles a little. "He appeared to me in a dream and explained everything. I know it sounds weird but I seen you talking with him about the body swap. He'll take good care of him."

I sigh. "That's not what I'm worried about."

We continued in silence. No words needed to be spoken. We both knew we could be jumped and that we could be killed facing Hell's Alpha female.

As we got closer, the trees thinned and I could see the battle field. Both wolves and hounds lay dead. Luckily, I seen no wolves from my pack. At least, that is until I seen my father. Tears welled in my eyes as he lay motionless.

"Idiot." I whispered. "Why didn't you stay with the other elders." I closed my eyes and then opened them once more.

I seen Tarence being held by the neck. I focused on his attacker and watch it shrink to the ground as I crushed him. Tarence sprang up and raced off to attack another. In my mind, I heard him.
