"Um Matthew i need to go to the bathroom" Hao says hoping to get away from him so he can think about what to do.
"Okay, then meet up with us" Hao nods and heads towards the bathroom.
When he gets there, he splashes his face with water and takes a deep breath. He looks into the mirror and is startled to see the person he least expected to see behind him, but then changes his posture.
He turns and looks him up and down and rolls his eyes after seeing the teasing smile on his face, "What is it Hanbin"
"I need your help" he says and Hao looks at him confused, "And i know that you need my help too"
"You need my help? And i need your help? You're wrong buddy" he says laughing and Hanbin rolls his eyes.
"I need us to pretend to be dating," he says and Hao looks at him confused. "And as I said, I know that you also need to pretend to be in a relationship, which means that if we pretend to be in a relationship, the two of us will mutually help each other out."
"Okay but how do you know I need a fake relationship?" Hao asks, crossing his arms, and Hanbin laughs.
"Because I probably overheard your conversation with your friend because I heard he had started seeing your ex" Hanbin replies and Hao looks at him squinting.
"Fine" he says snorting and Hanbin laughs at his attitude. "Why the fuck do you need to fake a relationship? And why do you have to do that with me? You've got tons of people after you, you just have to pick one" Hao says angrily, he honestly can't understand Hanbin's thoughts.
"First of all, I know I've got a lot of people after me, but after listening to your little conversation with your little friend, I thought, I'm glad I listened to your conversation, because then I've found someone who can help me" he says smiling and Hao looks at him annoyed.
"Tell me why you need the fake relationship crap, I'm sick of listening to you" he says rolling his eyes and Hanbin takes a deep breath so as not to get angry.
"But do you want your best friend not to try something with someone who likes him just because you're being a spoiled brat who can't accept my proposal?" Hanbin asks and Hao swallows dryly. "I thought so."
"First tell me what you need this relationship for and then I'll tell you my answer" Hao says staring intensely at Hanbin, who shivers at the way the other is looking at him.
"Okay so, my parents want to put me in an arranged relationship with a girl from our school, Soe from our year" he says and Hao looks at him surprised, he never thought that the Sung family would think of putting their son in an arranged relationship.
"Soe? Gosh I hate that girl" Hao says rolling his eyes, Soe is an art student who is one of the school's mean girls, she thinks she's the prettiest in the school and the queen of them all, she used to have a crush on Jiwoong and when Hao started dating him she started being quite arrogant with him.
"Oh yeah, she liked your boyfriend," Hanbin says, remembering. "Anyways, my parents want to do this because that's what was done to them, and they think I'm going to find the love of my life in an arranged marriage because that's how they met."
"Thats kinda cute" Hao says as he analyzes Hanbin's face, he always had an angelic and delicate beauty, and Hao always liked to admire that about him.
"A bit but, I don't want this kind of arranged relationship, I want to be the one to choose the person I want to spend the rest of my life with" he says smiling and Hao nods in agreement. "Unlike you, I didn't say I was with someone but that I wasn't interested in the girl, but they just ignored what I said"
"I don't know what's more shocking," Hao says and Hanbin looks at him in confusion. "You asking me and you to fake a relationship or you wanting to fake a relationship with a guy" he says as he puts on his bracelet and Hanbin swallows.
"And that's also why I chose you" Hao looks at him, curious to know why. "Because it's a way of strengthening their thinking about my sexuality, im bi btw" he says smiling embarrassedly and Hao bites his lower lip as he stares at the bathroom floor, thinking about what Hanbin has just said.
"Do they know about this?" he asks, turning back to face Hanbin, who looks down at the floor.
"Yes, they just don't believe it and think it's the effect of teenage years," he says and Hao slaps his hand against his forehead and Hanbin looks at him confused. "They're not homophobic, my uncle is gay and he's always at the house with his boyfriend."
Hao looks at Hanbin, trying to understand the logic of Hanbin's family but can't come to a conclusion.
Seeing that there has been a prolonged and awkward silence, Hanbin decides to start talking again, "So what do you say about this proposal?"
Hao looks at him and takes a deep breath, "I need-"
He immediately falls silent after two boys enter the bathroom laughing. He pulls himself away from the sink and walks over to Hanbin, putting a hand on his shoulder and giving Hanbin goosebumps.
"Give me your number" Hao says quietly as he pulls out his cell phone for him to put in his number and Hanbin nods and takes the object, entering his number and then hands it to him.
Hao records the number and looks Hanbin up and down, and a shiver runs up Hanbin's spine.
"I'll see you around" Hao says and leaves the bathroom, leaving Hanbin confused as to whether he'll accept the offer or not.
He goes to the sink and rinses his face with water, trying to refresh his mind. The two boys who came in earlier smile at Hanbin and leave the bathroom.
Hanbin takes a deep breath and says still not believing what just happened, "Did I really just ask my crush to fake a relationship?" he laughs to himself and looks in the mirror as he combs his hair and leaves the bathroom.
