Chapter 53 - Tom Riddle

I walked leisurely with Daphne into the common room.

"You know... Apparently there's a rumor about Tom." she says and grins at me.

"Uhh and that would be?" I ask.

It's a miracle that I'm still alive, Tom is my ex.

"He is said to have written letters about a girl, which appear to be in a box under his bed."

"Really?"

She nods.

"Should we... Maybe go take a look? He's at a meeting right now..." Daphne says with a grin and stands with me.

I grin at her too and we run to his room, carefully opening the door.

"If he finds out, we're dead. So you go in and I'll keep watch out here. Go go go!" Daphne says as I walk into the room.

Like in old times, I look around relaxed, the smell, the cold and the order... How much I loved being in his room.

"Go ahead!" I hear Daphne, "I'll do it!" I just reply and look under the bed.

Actually a box.

Now the question arises, should I take the whole box with me or just the contents?

I take the box, pull it out and take the box with me.

I run out of the room as quickly as possible, Daphne right behind me.

In my room, we sit on my bed.

"Ready?" I ask Daphne, who just nods eagerly.

I slowly open the box and as expected, you see full-written paper, a few in envelopes.

"Wow..." Daphne starts and empties the box, "But who do you think they are for?" She finishes her question and looks at me.

I shrug my shoulders.

"How about we read one and find out...?" I ask hesitantly and grin slightly.

"If he finds out, we're dead."

"You can bet on it." I grin at her.

"But which one? The last one? The first one? Or just any one?"

"How about this?" I ask, reaching for an already slightly dusty letter.

"Start." Daphne says and I read.

"Wow... That's beautiful.." says Daphne, already crying.

"But who are they for now?" I ask, looking at Daphne.
