I sit in that room for what feels like hours. I have no idea whether the others have left, or what anybody might be doing. My tears stopped a while ago, but I still feel like shit. Peter is awfully mad, Edmund is upset with me but I don't know why, and now I'm sitting crying in a dark instead of helping my friends protect the kingdom I love.
"Rosalyn?" Lucy's light voice carries into the room. I dry my face, knowing it won't help. "Rosa? I've been looking for you. Susan told me just before they left." She tells me. I look up with puffy, red eyes and she run over to me. She slides down the wall and sits next to me, "Oh, Rosa." She cries, and she wraps her arms around me. We sit like that for a few minutes, her holding around me.
"I ruined everything, I don't even know what I did." I sob into her shoulder.
"It's probably all a misunderstanding" She comforts me, and I sniffle. "Lets go somewhere warmer, to the stone room." She decides, and gets up. She grabs my hands, and drag me up. She leads the both of us towards the room, and theres a little faun, a young centaur and a mother sitting on the ground in a corner.
We sit on the broken ledge of the table. She is fidgeting with her cordial, I am laying on by back on the cold table. "Thank you, Lucy." I hum, and she glances at me.
"What for?" She asks, and I giggle.
"For you, just in general." I smile, and she smiles back. I lay my head back down, and she looks back at her cordial. It grows quiet between us. It's a quiet filled with worry, horror and stress. "How long ago since the others left?" I ask, she doesn't even look up.
"Two hours, maybe." She guesses.
"It feels so long." I complain, my voice sounds scared. And I am scared, not for me but for them. What if Edmund dies, and I never get the chance to apologise. Or what if Peter dies and we never get to make up. Or Susan, who What if me being there could've made a difference. "I don't get how you did this, back then. I'm going crazy." I mumble, she stays silent for another moment.
"They have to come back soon." Lucy mumbles, and in that moment we hear it, the sound of a war horn. She quickly pops her cordial back in her belt, and gets up. "You ready?" She asks, and I shake my head.
"Can you see that I've cried?" I asks, she shakes her head no.
"Only if they know you really well." She reassures me, and she takes my hand. We run out the room. We hurry over the stone ground, and out into the wet morning. We stop as we reach the top of the hill. We stand to the side of the way into the cave, and have clear view of the small amount of Narnian's coming towards us. They reach at the clearing, Peter, Susan and Caspian inn the front.
"Oh no." I mutter, and Lucy squeezes my hand.
"What happened?" Lucy asks, looking at Peter.
"Ask him." Peter accuses angrily, and throws his head towards Caspian. Edmund. Where is Edmund?
"Peter." Susan mumbles annoyed.
"Me?" Caspian sneers, offended. The duo stops, and Peter looks at Caspian, Caspian looks just at angry back at Peter. "You could've called it off. There was still time." Caspian defends himself,
"No, there wasn't, thanks to you." Peter argues, and I breath annoyed. I squeeze Lucys hand before letting go. If the two of them start to fight, a tired and exhausted narnian won't be able to keep them apart, if that happens it'll cause even more problems than we already have. "If you kept to the plan, those soldiers might be alive." Peter continuous, he turns to walk away but stops as Caspian starts to speak.
"If you'd stay here like I suggested, they definitely would be!" Caspian is yelling now, his accent heavy. He sounds hurt and angry. I understand why. I don't know exactly what happened, but I do know this can't be blamed on one person.
