The first periods roll by with minimal drama. I am sitting at my desk next to Meghan finishing my geography assignment. Meghan is busily copying notes from the board and I am watching her in awe. I have always admired how committed she is to her school work. I could never be so concentrated.

Meghan sits back and puts her pencil down.

Her ghostly blue eyes gaze over the page and a half of notes she has written down and then she looks at me. I stare back at her and she giggles.

"What? Haven't you ever seen someone take notes?" She asks me.

I sit back and cross my arms, "I haven't seen someone take notes as furiously as you have, that's for sure." I answer matter-of-factly.

The rare sight of me even actively listening in class is almost non-existent, let alone writing down notes like my fate would be decided on the result of my exam.

I glance up at the clock and I am disappointed to see it has only been 2 minutes since the last time I checked. I frown and this kid called Jonah notices the sudden drop in my expression.

"Haha that was an abrupt change of emotion Liv." He smirks.

Jonah is pretty cute but he is the most annoying kid you would ever meet. None of his insults make sense yet they are still insulting.

"What did you just remember how ugly you are?" He teases.

"Nah I just noticed a hint of douche bag in the corner of my eye that's all." I snap back.

He is taken back by my sudden comeback and struggles to retort the statement. "W-well y-you were y-you dropped on your head as a baby or something?" He stutters.

I noticed now that the whole class was listening in, "No but I think you might of been thrown against a wall." I reply. My friends giggle and a boy at the back of the class shouts, "ohh Jonah got burneddd!"

Finally the lunch bell rings and I leave Jonah to think of a way to patch up his scratched ego. Serves him right, last year in PE class he and some of his mates thought it would be a brilliant idea to pants a girl, well when they grabbed her sports shorts and pulled them, let's just say more then her sports shorts came down, and it was NOT the best time of the month for her to be nude from the hips down...

I walk as quickly as possible to my locker. I spin the code on my lock and take my sandwich out of my bag. I slam the locker door shut and turn around to see Caitlyn Barks aggressively making out with her boyfriend Mark.

I shift my eyes to Meghan and Kiely who are laughing hysterically at me. I am trapped between the couple and my locker.

I push my back against my locker and do a weird shuffle along the row of lockers.

I finally get around them and run to Meghan and Kiely.

"Caught in the middle of a tongue sandwich I see?" Kiely giggles.

I widen my eyes, "So far high schools nothing like high school musical promised." I state.

We all laugh and go to sit down at our favourite table in front of the sports centre.

"Ready for your math test?" Meghan gleams.

I stop chewing my sandwich and look at her with wide eyes.

"Maths test? This is the first I am hearing of a maths test?" I ask her slightly mortified at the fact that I didn't study.

Kiely and Meghan shake their heads and sigh. "You seriously didn't study?" Kiely asks."

Kiely darling, I am a busy women with places to go and people to see... I don't have time to study for a watered down, cooky cutter maths exam." I answer.

They both exchanged concerned glances. "You know it is super hard. I did mine this morning." Kiely warns

"Yeah I heard Carlos left the exam crying." Meghan adds.

I shrug my shoulders and go to put my rubbish in the bin. I start to worry that I will fail. But I don't want people to know this. I have a reputation, I totally rock the wreck less and care free character.

The bell rings and I hear moans from stressed students studying. I look around at all the concerned faces.

"Wow you can actually feel the desperation." I say gesturing my hands around me.

A few kids shoot me cold stares. I catch my Ex- best friend Fanny Winkle glaring at me. I look back at her and smile with a cheeky expression.

The name used to be okay, but now you wouldn't dream of calling your child Fanny, Especially when it's matched with that last name.

She looks away obviously irritated by my lack of participation in the death stare.

Why does everyone at this school act so serious? Why can't people take a joke and sit back and take a chill pill? Honestly some people need to be reminded that school is just 13 long years of early mornings, drama, back stabbing, studying and over glorified reputations that everyone will forget about eventually.
