Hey guys, I know it's been forever since I've updated and I didn't want to do this but... there have been some readers out there that have been mean with their comments when it comes to my choices with this story.
Because I like explaining my thought process when I make specific choices in my writing, I thought I made it very clear to some of the topics these commentators are complaining about. But either they didn't read the author's notes at the end, or just don't care.
It's very discouraging. It feels like every time I get the inspiration to continue on with this story, I find a comment about how the story sucks or is awful and that people shouldn't read this. It's been happening for a while and I just got one today and it just felt like the final straw that broke the camel's back, so now it's going on hiatus.
I am so sorry to those readers who enjoyed my story and left behind likes and lovely comments, they helped, but sometimes the negative just outweighed the positive this time and I lost the air in my sails when it comes to this story. I can't tell how grateful I am to those of you who were supportive and I'm so sorry that you got this instead of an update as I hoped for Christmas.
Hopefully I will come back to this story, I don't want to discontinue it, I put too much work and thought into it to give up on it like that. But that does mean it will be a long time before I come back to this story. But when that day comes, I'll have several chapters in my pocket so when I come back to this story I can update regularly and not come back and leave you guys wanting with only one or two chapters and then I don't update for several months again.
Once again, I'm sorry for those of you who loved and supported this story, but enough is enough for me. It's hard to come back to something when people keep telling you that it's bad. I hope to come back to 'A Phantom's Way' soon but... we'll see.
