A/N - Happy Christmas, Who Family! This would have been posted last night, but the WiFi was really struggling last night. Also it seems fitting since this is the 4th anniversary of this series! Along with this, I'll be giving you guys a little present. ;)
The Doctor turned to Elise and Donna. "We've arrived. Want to see?"
"I suppose," Donna said.
"Oh, that scanner's a bit small. Maybe your way's best." He walked over to the door. "Come on. No human's ever seen this. You'll be the first."
Holding Donna's hand, Elise led her to the door. "All I want to see is my bed."
"Donna Noble, Elise Smith, welcome to the creation of the Earth." The Doctor opened the doors and they saw dust and rocks floating around the sun.
It almost made Elise think of the Rings of Akhaten.
"We've gone back four point six billion years. There's no solar system, not yet. Only dust and rocks and gas. That's the Sun, over there. Brand new. Just beginning to burn," the Doctor explained.
"Where's the Earth?" Donna asked.
"All around us in the dust."
"Puts the wedding in perspective. Lance was right. We're just tiny."
"No, but that's what you do. The human race makes sense out of chaos. Marking it out with weddings and Christmas and calendars. This whole process is beautiful, but only if it's being observed."
Elise smiled. "My father used to say he'd never met someone who wasn't important."
"So I came out of all this?" Donna asked.
"Isn't that brilliant?" the Doctor said.
A large piece of rock floated by.
"I think that's the Isle of Wight."
The Doctor and Donna laughed.
"Eventually, gravity takes hold. Say, one big rock, heavier than the others, starts to pull other rocks towards it. All the dust and gas and elements get pulled in. Everything, piling in until you get..."
"The Earth."
"But the question is, what was that first rock?"
A star-shaped spaceship fly out of the dust.
"Look."
"The Racnoss." The Doctor ran back to the console. "Hold on. The Racnoss are hiding from the war. What's it doing?"
"Exactly what you said."
The rocks and the dust start floating towards the spaceship.
"Oh, they didn't just bury something at the center of the Earth. They became the center of the Earth. The first rock."
The TARDIS shuddered.
"What was that?"
"Trouble."
The TARDIS threw them from side-to-side.
"What the hell's it doing?" Donna asked.
"Remember that little trick of mine, particles pulling particles. Well, it works in reverse. They're pulling us back!"
"Well, can't you stop it? Hasn't it got a handbrake? Can't you reverse or warp or beam or something?"
"Oh! Wait a minute! The extrapolator!" The Doctor pulled out a strange device and put it on the console. "It can't stop us, but it should give us a good bump!" He hit the device with a mallet. "Now!"
