INEZ LOCKED IN PLACE, STARING DOWN AT HER MUSIC BOX DISPERSED ON THE FLOOR. The tears welling in her eyes induced a sudden anger to flare, she steadily lifted her head to bring the perpetrators who sliced the object in half— into view.

Everything she'd ever loved locked in a box, now that box was broken and the photo's it held damaged in the process.

There wasn't a single thought in her head when Inez gathered the blade from her back pocket and threw it straight at one of the men in masks, she followed that with sliding herself behind him and kicking the back of his knee.

She was fuming, there was nothing but blind rage for Inez. Chico rushed forward, using his foot to push kick the same man Inez had just hit.

They'd all began fighting. However, their efforts were futile. Inez didn't know when amongst the battle she ended up with a large slash along her back and a hole through her abdomen— or when Petra was cut, when Viktor was stabbed. She just knew they were losing.

Saya was on her knees, a sword to her throat when she opened her mouth. "Run!" She screamed.

Everybody made an escape through the door. Inez's vision was blurred by tears as she crawled through the halls. They took turns shouting for the Monks— confused as to why their calls weren't answered. "Hey! Hey! We need hel—" Chico rounded the corner, ending his sentence short as he took in the dead Monks.

"They're dead!" Petra announced.

Inez was so far behind everyone, this time it wasn't intentional. Chico looked around for her, cursing himself when he saw she was barely making it. "Fuck!" He bellowed, running back for her.

She clung to his body as he ran for the library, Chico picked her up bridal style when they came to the stairs. "Chico, leave me." Inez told him. "You'll make it if you leave me here."

"Fuck that shit!" Chico yelled.

Making it down the stairs with her in his arms, he continued to the library— the men in mask inches behind them. Chico grabbed Jayden by the shirt and threw him backwards, feeding him to the wolves without a care.
