INEZ HAD SEVERAL WAYS SHE COULD GO ABOUT THIS, she could help Juan in taking out Saya right now. Or she could continue her sweet, innocent— forgiving facade and pretend she knew not a thing. Nah. That was boring.Maria and Saya stood at their lockers, chatting away like friends.
Inez walked towards them slowly, her hands behind her back. She bit her lip, stopping a step away from them. "I'm not going to hold it against you. You didn't do anything wrong." She said, her voice below a whisper.
"Angel—"
There was shame in her as she hung her head low, it was fake of course! But, it was there. Juan snuck up behind them, swinging the blade at Saya. She weaved, blocking all his attempts expertly.
Inez hurled blades at the Yakuza enclosing on them, some landing in more lethal places than others. She forgot how thrilling this was— and she remembered how weak she was being recently.
Her target changed as Saya kicked Juan into the wall.
"What the hell, Ange!" Maria screamed, trying her best to get between them.
Inez grabbed her wrist, pulling Maria into her and twisting her arm back, throwing her to the ground.
Maria looked up at her in complete fear, seeing a glimpse of that girl from Juarez— she hadn't seen her in awhile. Her heart was in her stomach.
Caught up in Maria, Inez dropped her guard allowing Saya the opportunity to hit her in the chest.
The brunette was refocused now. She flicked her last blade from her hair, smiling at Saya gracefully.
"We were good!" The Yakuza girl expressed.
"You believed that?" Inez denounced, swinging her blade at Saya.
Saya dodged it, ducking the hit and jabbing Inez in the ribs. Juan stood up, wrapping his arms around the back of her waist. Inez used all her weight to kick Saya backwards, looking to get one more hit before the Monks got to them.
