Asenovgrad, Bulgaria — 1994THE REALITY IS, the world was mean. It was evil and harsh to a girl at the age of nine, and it only caused pain the older she got.
All Inez did was adapt and overcome.
Now she was here, the world in the palm of her hand. Unfortunately, it was no longer the world she wanted.
Was it ever?
She'd never known the simplicity of a normal, mundane life. The memories she had of it were blurred by the affects of time.
Somehow, her time with Marcus gave her a glimpse of what that could have been like— for that she was eternally grateful.
Inez didn't receive the life she wanted. She insured everyone she loved did.
Juan took over the cartel after the death of Chico's uncle— the death perfectly timed and curated after the uprising.
He was happy.
In 1990 Katiya gave birth to twins. A boy and a girl. Cael and Arielle.
They're four now with more opportunities than any of the kids from Kings ever had. They'll never know what their parents had to do to give them the life they have.
There was peace in that.
Willie got a corporate job. Something that made sure he returned to the family waiting in that four bedroom home in Italy— just for him.
And their life was more than anything they'd ever imagined, everything that they'd dreamed of.
They made it out.
