You were sitting in class, doodling in your notebook and not really paying attention to any of what the professor was saying. You were falling behind massively and you knew this but took no notice.. afterall, it was only charms.

"I'm sorry miss y/l/n, am I boring you?" A voice spoke up, drawing you away from thought. Everyone's eyes were burning into you as you looked up and faced the professor, you awkwardly put your pen down and cleared your throat.

"No sir, sorry sir.." you mumble, letting your head tilt downwards as to avoid his eyes.

He nodded his head before continuing on with the lecture, and although you tried, you still couldn't focus properly, you were bored.. charms bored you, if only you had something to make it more interesting.

You sat through the rest of lesson, falling behind while gathering your things as you were still doodling, staring out the window and doing about a million different things other than focus.

"Miss y/l/n, can I see you for a moment?" Professor Berkshire asked you, stopping you as your foot hastily stepped out the door. You knew what was coming, another lecture just like before. 'You need to focus more' 'you need to concentrate' 'stop trying to distract yourself'.. you had heard all of this before.

You force a smile before pivoting on your heel to face him, your books held tightly to your chest. "Yes sir, what is it?" You ask innocently, battering your eyelashes at him as he tugs his shirt collar, attempting to loosen it a little.

"I know you find charms particularly uninteresting, and I know you've heard enough of my lectures so I'll save them.. but I need you to at least try to focus on the work from now on.. with O.W.L.S coming up, I want you to pass this course, and you can only do that if you try to do the work I set" he begins, peering down at several worksheets of yours which contained different doodle patterns.

"I do try sir" you say, knowing full well it was a lie.

He chuckles at your comment and gestures towards your drawings, "I do appreciate the cute pictures you draw for me miss y/l/n, but this whole worksheet is completely empty.. I have no choice but to give you extra study sessions" he shrugs slightly, watching your face drop with annoyance.

"I know I know, annoying right?, well unfortunately I have no choice.. headmaster is really coming down on the incomplete work in my class from you.. so study sessions it is.. and the first one is tonight, you'll come here and I'll guide you through different worksheets" he looks up at you, closing your workbook and placing it to the side of him before folding his arms across his chest.

"Really sir?, do I have to come here.. it looks like I'm sucking up to you if I come to your class after school hours" you huff out.

He laughs again, "okay, where would you like to study?, I can have the library closed off for the evening and we can go through your work there if that's less embarrassing for you?" He suggests.

You nod your head and smile, it was perfect, nobody would see you and you wouldn't be made fun of.

"Perfect, I appreciate your perseverance.. I will see you after school hours, is 7pm okay?" He asks you, writing down something in his notes before looking back up at you.

"Yes sir" you smile, and he nods at you, gesturing towards the door for you to leave and spend the next few hours doing what you needed too before you had to go to the library.

After leaving his classroom, you head back to your dorm to pack your things away, and then you head to your next class before dinner.

The hours flew by, and next thing you know, You're stood outside the library door, the note on the glass panel boldly reading;
Study session in place, no entry until tomorrow morning 7am.
