19 : Unhappy Campers

Moxxie and Millie talk to a sinner client while Layla sits on the couch with Loona beside her. Blitzo bursts open the door suddenly and rushes in covered in bush leaves, bruises, and dirt all over his body. Layla raise an eyebrow at his appearance when he walks by dejectedly.

"Sir! There's a client here who wants to-" moxxie starts. Blitzo doesn't hear him and interrupts Moxxie by opening the door to his office and slamming it shut loudly. Moxxie and Millie took a second to stare in confusion at Blitzo's foul mood today before turning back to the client.

Millie lets out nervous chuckle before talking, "I'm sorry, you were saying?"

The demon client shrugs his hands in confusion, "Well, it's just that I'm sure one of the other camp counselors killed me, I'm just not sure which one..."

"How could you not know?" Layla remarks and Loona chuckles beside her

"I was out on the lake when my boat started to sink. Someone had drilled holes in it," he twirls two fingers to gesture before stopping, "The counselors are the only ones with keys to the boathouse, and they're the only ones who knew I couldn't swim. It had to be them."

While Millie was delightfully smiling, Moxxie had a questionable look on his face about that work, "Hmm, we don't typically do investigations. I'll have to check with the boss." Moxxie says and moves around the desk behind Millie. He stops at the office door before opening it. A few minutes pass and Moxxie closes the door behind him, his face full of sunshine and excitement. Layla looks at curiously and snort when he puffs out his chests on his walk back to his wife.

"We'll take the case!" He exclaims and jabs a thumb to himself, "And I'll be handling this investigation, personally." Millie looks on at Moxxie with concern and hesitation of her husband.

"Honey, are you sure? What about Blitzo?" Millie asks.

"Honey, honey, please. Blitzo put me in charge this time." Moxxie says proudly.

Millie looks at him in disbelief, "He did?!"
Moxxie narrows his eyes when he hears her tone and he looks back to her skeptically. Millie realized her mistake and then corrects her attitude to make her husband feel better, "Oh! I mean, He... he did!"

"Right! And this is going to be the cleanest, most well-prepped, most surgical hit we've ever had! Don't worry, sir!,' he exclaims and points at the demon client, "We'll find your killer and give him what's coming to him."
Moxxie thinks for a while before he corrects himself, "And/or her...Or they..."

Layla sighs and shakes her head slightly. Nothing good will come out of this. She gets up and kisses Loona slightly before walking towards Blitzos office. Layla knocks then walks in. He's sitting at his desk just staring at the wall looking dejected. His head whips towards her and he glares.

"Get out," he says simply and huffs when she don't move.

"I don't know what you're going through right now but we both know Moxxie is gonna mess this up." Layla say, "I know you're not in the greatest mood but if you don't need me, I thought I'd tag along to pick up the pieces after everything goes to shit."

Blitzo nods before huffing once more, "Do what you want, just get out "

"You're still my boss, Blitzo, call me if you need someone." She states and walks out.

The three demons are currently at the summer camp called Camp Ivannakummore, where children and pre-teens can be seen laughing and playing in the background. Across the way, three preteen girls chat on a picnic bench. Moxxie, Millie, and Layla hide in the bushes wearing disguises. Moxxie is dressed as a "human" girl while Millie is dressed as a "human" boy. Layla has a camp shirt on while in her human disguise.
