31: Stolas' Remorse

Stolas watches through a small portal as Layla tears out Valentino's soul. He continues looking until Val is left unconscious and Layla walks out. He sits back and thinks to himself, dumbfounded. He didn't know that souls could be forced from someone's body. Is that even possible for a demon? It might be possible for one of the sins for the king and princess, but his sister? Just how wrong was he?

Layla could feel Stolas watching her. It was quite obvious, she should tell him next time they meet. Oh. Right. Shes supposed to be mad at him. Layla sighs, done with everything. News of what she did is going to travel around hell soon. Maybe she should've forced everyone else out first. Though it's too late now.

She arrives back at the hotel quickly, making a portal and stepping through. As soon as she gets there, Loona runs up to her and throws her arms around her girlfriend.

"Are you okay, loon?" Layla asks and Loona pulls away

"I'm okay, are you though?"

"Of course.Valentino won't be bothering anyone ever again."

"Did you kill him?" Angel asks fearfully. Layla shakes her head.

"Nah. I own him now so there's nothing to worry about. You can be yourself more, angel." Layla says and he looks at her surprised.

"Besides that," Loona says taking back Layla's attention, "Alastor made a deal with Charlie."

"What!?" Layla exclaims. Charlie should know better! Making a deal with a demon like him! "where is he!?" Gwen pointed upstairs. Layla rushes up there, bursting through the door.

"If you did, would you have told me?" Charlie asks and vaggie stands there speechless. Layla has no time to be confused at the situation as she walks up to Alastor shoves him against the wall.

"What the hell did you do!? Making a deal with Charlie!?" Layla yells and grabs him by the collar.

"Layla! What are you doing, let him go!" Charlie exclaims and tries to pull her away. Layla whips her head to her.

"Are you fucking stupid, Charlie!?"

"I had to do what was needed!" Charlie argues back, "If making a deal with Alastor saves this hotel then I'll do it!"

"That's my job, Charlie! It's my responsibility to protect this hotel, not driving Alastors or yours! I could've taken care of it!"

"How, Layla!? How!? The angels are coming in less than a week!"

"I stole Valentino's soul, who's to say that I can't take a fucking angel's!" Layla yells. Alastor puts a hand on her shoulder

"It would be best if y—" Layla whirls around and kicks him. He flies through the wall and out the hotel, landing on the ground below. Layla jumps out after him as he stands. She created as portal midair and falls through, appearing behind him. She goes to punch him, but Alastor blocks by conjuring a shadow that knocks her back. Layla continues hitting the shadows surrounding him until she grabs one and pulls, destroying it. She grabs Alastors coat and slams him into the ground. Layla punches him twice before he throws her off causing her to skid across the ground and coming to a stop.

"Layla!" A voice yells. She looks back and sees Loona and the rest of the hotel standing there looking worried. Alastor hours to punch her with demonic magic surrounding his fist before a portal appears and hand chops him in the neck, knocking him out. Stolas steps out and catches Alastor before he falls. Layla watches and gives her brother a small smile before picking up the unconscious deer demon and grabbing a part of his coat. Layla lets go of him and he falls to the ground but through his coat. She holds it before setting it on fire.
