After leaving the Imperial Palace and crossing the Temple's gates, Jay headed towards Jungwon's quarters.

He now knew exactly what corridor to take to keep away from annoying priests. In a blink, he arrived in front of Jungwon's door.

But just when he was about to knock, he heard a noise at the end of the corridor. So, instead of knocking, he entered in a hurry.

Once safe, he took a relieved breath. But when he turned around, he froze.

Jungwon was standing in the middle of the room, shirtless, apparently busy changing clothes.

Jay felt the red come up to his face, but before he could get flustered, he noticed a huge black mark growing across Jungwon's body.

"Jungwon, what happened?" he breathed.

Jungwon was quick to put on his tunic.

"It's nothing...you should have knocked."

"It's obviously not nothing!" Jay would very rarely raise his voice, so this sudden outburst made Jungwon jump.

He stared at Jay, surprised. After a sigh, he reluctantly gave in to Jay's pressuring gaze,

"It's...a curse."

"A curse?"

Jay only ever heard this word addressed to him. For a Saint to be victim of such a thing was unthinkable.

"Like every living things, I have limitations," explained Jungwon. "Simply put, I'm not allowed to hurt people, or say hurting words. All my generous, loving and good actions feed my powers, as for anything else, it eats up my flesh."

"Who gave you this curse? The Temple?"

Jay's voice was vibrating with rage.

"I was born with this curse. Forget about it, you weren't supposed to ever know about it. No one can do anything anyway."

Jay grabbed Jungwon's wrist.

"I can do something."

Jungwon felt his heart jump.

The two boys stared at each other, the sound of their breathing alone breaking the heavy silence.

Then, Jay got on his knee, gently holding Jungwon's hand, and in a surprisingly soft voice, said,

"I'll do it.
I'll be the one who hurts whoever you want to hurt. I'll say the words you can't say and think the thoughts you can't have.
You know it, Jungwon, I'm yours. I'll be your slave, your shadow, your executioner, you don't even have to think the words, I'll do it."

Jungwon's face was expressionless, staring at Jay. But in his knight's hand, his fingers were trembling.

"How can I ever ask you to do such a thing for me?"

"I just told you: Don't ask. I'll do it. I simply refuse to see you hurt more than this."

Saying these words, Jay kissed Jungwon's hand to seal his prayer.

Once again, Jay was proving his unconditional loyalty to his god, and in this moment, Jungwon was feeling so infinitely thankful for ever meeting this man.

A dim smile on his face, Jungwon let himself slowly fall on his knees. His nose was now almost touching Jay's. He was fighting his desire more than ever at this very moment. He took Jay's head in his hands, but before he could get to his next thought, Jay declared, out of the blue,

"The Empress wants me to marry her niece."
A nerve broke inside Jungwon's brain.
"That's what I came to tell you."

"WHAT THE H-"

Jungwon jumped on his feet and grabbed Jay's collar. He flattened him against the closest wall and roared,

"WHAT DID YOU ANSWER HER!???!"
The Saint was out of his mind. He was almost choking Jay at this point, and curls of uncontrolled magic were forming around him.
"WHAT DID YOU ANSWER HER, TELL ME!"

Jay was more surprised than really hurt, since his body could take at least this much, but Jungwon wasn't a normal human being and his strength was soon to be too much for Jay's neck.

"I told her I'd think about it-"

"Think about it?!!?!!"

"Jungwon, your hands...h-"

"YOU TOLD HER YOU'D THINK ABOUT IT!???!"

"I thought you may find this alliance useful, I wanted to get your opinion first-," managed to say Jay.

Thankfully, these words calmed down Jungwon. He suddenly realized he was suffocating Jay, and immediately got away from him.

"J- Jay, I'm sorry! I was so surprised! I didn't realize I was hurting you! How could I, to you..."

Jungwon looked deeply agitated by his own action. Jay was coughing, rubbing his throat. But while Jungwon was apologizing again and again, Jay came to caress the side of his neck.

"Jay-?"

"I'm sorry I surprised you. Looks like the black mark expended because of me."

Jungwon seemed on the verge of tears,

"How can you say it's your fault when I just did that!? I'm a monster..."

But as a tear was rolling down Jungwon's cheek, Jay took Jungwon's head in his hands and with a smile, came to kiss his lips to shut him up.

"Was this what you were about to do earlier?"
