Jungwon and Jay were euphoric. The stress of the situation they just went through was starting to dissipate, making it all feel like a dream.

The setting sun was filling Jay's bedroom with a vibrant orange color. Bird songs and rustling leaves could be heard through the open windows.

Only Jungwon's laugh was louder than the very sound of life.

The two lovers sunk into the huge bed, mixing their heat together. Jay was honoring Jungwon by kissing his neck.

Jungwon stopped laughing to concentrate on his sensations when Jay left a kiss mark on his collarbone.

"Aren't you going to kiss somewhere else?" asked Jungwon, tapping on his lips.

Jay happily complied and kissed Jungwon lips. His hand was tracing Jungwon's waist, pulling up the tissue to caress his skin. Meanwhile, Jungwon was playing with Jay's hair and ears.

It had been so long since Jungwon had felt human warmth. Every caress from Jay was making him forget about what he went through with the Edens. Every kiss from him was healing his heart a little more.

Once they finally took off all of their clothes, they stayed stuck to each other as if they were trying to melt into one another.

They became one again.

At this very moment, Jungwon's moans were the only thing Jay was living for. As a man of very few words and unable to cry, Jay could only work hard at getting his feelings through with his body.

Jungwon however, had no problem putting his heart into words. He was whispering sweet words at Jay's ear so naturally that the latter felt himself melt.

Their "warm reunion" went on deep into the night. They fell asleep under the moonlight, lulled by the hooting of owls.

Everything around them was pointing at the evidence, that they were made for each other.

The next morning wasn't as sweet, sadly.

Jay went down to meet Jungwon in the great hall. The Saint was slowly pacing across the hall, staring at the lifeless bodies, his hands joined.

Jay made himself as discreet as possible, trying to approach a bit more.

He could hear Jungwon reciting prayers. Then, he realized with immense distress that Jungwon was crying. So, he rejoined him, making sure to respect the dead's remains.

Jay gently wrapped his arms around Jungwon's shoulders.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"I killed these innocent people...," muttered Jungwon in-between sobs. "I was so happy with you yesterday that I forgot I did this...I'm a monster."
His head against Jay's neck, he kept crying harder.
"What will I say to their family?"

"Let me take the fall for this. I'll make the announcement."

"You can't do that! The people of the West will loose all trust in you!"

"They already don't trust me," replied Jay with an amused tone. "Don't you know how I got this position of Duke? They already see me as a cold-blooded murderer, which I am. I lost my head when I realized you were in danger. You did the same. Tell yourself you were trying to save me, and please, dry those tears. It hurts me to see you in this state."

Jungwon smiled.

"I'm sorry, I can't dry them so quickly. I'll stay here a little longer. I'll join you later so we can talk. Will you wait for me?"

"Forever," answered Jay.

He kissed Jungwon's cheek and let him mourn in peace.

While walking across the propriety's gardens, appreciating the sun on his face, Jay was wondering:

Now that they weren't prophets anymore, now that they weren't bets, what would their next task be?
