Laying flat on my stomach I hold the pen in my hand, write down my own answer as I wait for his reply.

It never comes.

Turning my head to the left I stare at the boy sitting against the wall.

We're in drama class right now and have been placed into pairs and given a bunch of questions to ask each other to help everyone get to know each other.

Something about not being able to act with people if we don't know them. I don't really know or understand the point but whatever.

Flint has his eyes closed, head back against the grey wall, knees bent and arms loosely wrapped around them both, hands dangling between them.

He also has his school shirt rolled upto his elbows, which I've been trying really hard not to stare at for the last 20 minutes.

Veins.

"Flint?"

"Be quiet."

I roll onto my back, sit up and move next to him. Leaning my own head against the wall.

Flint opens his eyes with an eye roll, lazily tilts his head to face me, raises one brow.

I smile up at him. He doesn't smile back down.

He's pretty up close. The green of his eyes revealing blue specks. Light layer of freckles. Few moles placed carelessly around his face.

My eyes drift and wonder until I'm staring across the hall and at a girl I've never met before.

She's pretty.

Light brown skin, dark eyes, straight nose. Dark blue hijab to match the dark blue of her school jumper.

She's paired up with one of the football players, but he's sitting off to the side and chatting to his friends and she's been left in the corner to work by herself.

"Have you ever talked to her?" I glance at Flint, point my finger subtly in the girls direction.

Flint who's also know as green scrunches his face up, stares at the girl, shakes his head slightly.

My head tilts as I watch her glance at the football boy, smile a little when he laughs, then sigh and shake her head.

"What you think about her?"
