︎Flint"How do I be romantic?"
Kane blinks at me, throws his head back with a groan. "You woke me up at 9 in the morning for this shit?"
Shrugging I offer him a scowl. "It's important shit."
Mika throws me a look that's says it really isn't as important as I think it is.
Not that I expect either of them to fully understand my situation. Neither of them have their own Arabella. They don't have their own beating heart that could disappear at any given moment. They don't have someone they'd do absolutely anything for.
Kane has Harley but it's not the same. He loves her, though he'll never admit it, but he's not ready to make sacrifices for her. He's not ready to love her. He's not going to do absolutely anything she asks just because she says please.
"Is there a specific reason? Or you just wanna randomly be romantic?" Mika asks, leaning his head back against the brick wall of his apartment building.
Not needing to ask who I want to be romantic for.
I left Arabella's house before she woke up, left her a note to tell her I'd be back soon, walked the 15 minutes to Kane's houses. Spent 30 minutes trying to convince him to get up and out. Walked the 5 minutes to Mika's house, Kane complaining that it was too early the whole way. Spend another 10 minutes banging on Mika's front door until he eventually decided to answer to which I dragged them both outside to ask for their advice.
"I asked Arabella to be my girlfriend and she said no." I explain, stare at the ground as I kick a rock around.
Kane snickers and I roll my eyes, kick him in the shins. "She said no?"
"She said I gotta be more romantic with it." I shrug. "Whatever the fuck that means."
"How'd you ask her?" Mika questions, running a hand over his fresh buzz cut.
"I had her straddled underneath me and just asked." I offer an explanation of the situation. Not really seeing a problem with it. She told me I needed to ask so I asked?
"Dude." Kane throws his head back against the wall. "No wonder she said no."
"Will you please just help?" I beg, sounding a little pathetic but not wanting to fix it.
