This was a stupid idea.

I've never brought a girl home before.

Hell I've never brought anyone home before.

Not even Mika and Kane have been to my house and I've known them since I was 8.

But Arabella asked to see the creek. And if that's what it takes for her to believe I'd never hurt her then I'll bring her home.

Shoulders tense I turn around to face the girl behind me. She's got a stupid smile on her face as she patiently waits for me to open the door.

She hasn't said anything and we've been stood here for a good five minutes. I've been waiting to see if my dad's car is going to pull in. Thankfully it hasn't. I'm hoping it won't, at-least until she's gone.

Rolling my shoulders back I force myself to relax. Only slightly. Not fully. Always on guard. But enough to where she can't tell. "My brothers can be a bit much."

She nods her head, smile never wavering. "That's okay."

My eyes narrow. My warning going on deaths ear. "Don't make eye contact, they'll take that as a sign to start talking and once they start they never stop."

Trust me I've made that mistakes too many times to count.

Arabella laughs slightly. The tension in my shoulders leaves momentarily. I roll my eyes. She can't say I didn't warn her.

Turning around, her hand in mine, fingers intertwined, I push the door open, pulling her along with me.

I make a beeline to the back door. But to do that I have to pass through the living room and the kitchen. And it just so happens Blu's sitting on the sofa.

Doesn't he have his own house?

He turns at the sound of door opening. "What no detention today? That's not like yo-" he trails off. Breaking into a huge grin as he hops over the back of the sofa. Landing right in my path.

"Is that a girl?" He tries to peer round me. I move slightly to block his view. "No it's a fucking dog."

Bella laughs slightly, pulling on my hand. "I don't appreciate being called a dog."
