Lei's POV
As I was placing each and every book at their rightful places,I felt a sudden shiver running down my spine. Oh no..something's wrong,but...what??
My eyes widened as realization hit me. My instincts started rushing through me as the book fell out of my hand,told the librarian that I have to go somewhere and ran out of the library.
As I run through the hallways,I bumped into someone.I fell on my side as I lost my balance.
"Are you okay?" a familiar voice asked me. I sat up straight as I looked up at the guy who I ran into.It was the guy who helped me at the library!
"Yeah,yeah I'm fine,don't worry" I responded as I took my glasses which is now on the floor and placed them on my face.I looked up once again and saw the guy giving me a helping hand,I took it and stood up once again.
I was about to say thank you when I saw something on his right hand,a pair of glasses which belongs to.
...LINK!!!
My mind full of anger,I started kicking him on the stomach,but he mostly evaded it. I kept on kicking him as my eyes started getting blurry because of the tears. When I delivered another kick,he grabbed my foot and pushed me back,stumbling backwards and fell on the floor once again,my glasses removed once again.
I stood up once again and I delivered a punch on his stomach but he grabbed my wrist and started dragging me to the lockers,slamming me against it.I winced in pain because of the contact.He grabbed my other wrist and held it at my sides,preventing me from hitting him.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO LINK!? WHERE IS HE!? TELL ME!!! WHAT DID YOU DO-"
"I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS!!" he yelled back at me,his eyes full of anger.I winced at how loud his voice was,my eyes started forming tears once again. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Looking down,he stared at me,his eyes softened.
"I don't know where he is..I just found this right in front of his locker..that's it..." he told me softly.Looking up,I searched his eyes for something,if he is lying or not.Finding none,I lose it.
My tears started running down my face as I sobbed,looking down. I felt his hands loosening his grip on my wrists,as he let me go completely,I started sliding down on the floor,bringing my knees up and covered my face with my hands as I sobbed.
As I cried,I felt his presence next to me,I looked up at him and he handed me my glasses.I wiped my tears and grabbed my glasses,putting it on my face again.Once I calmed down,I turned to him. I might look bad right now but I don't care,he needs to hear me out.
"I'm sorry about earlier,anger rushed through me and I don't know what I'm doing anymore..."
"It's alright,I'd probably do the same thing for a friend" he responded back with a smile.
"He's not just a friend to me,he's family.He's always been there for as long as I know.He's really a big brother to me despite me protecting him all the time." I chuckled. I leaned my head back against the locker,one knee propped up and resting my arm on it.
I looked at him once again and saw him looking at Link's glasses,eyes filled with worry.I sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
"It's my fault,I should've walked home with him while I have the chance.I knew that once I'm not around,the jocks will come at him.*chuckles darkly* I knew what was coming yet I didn't do anything to prevent it! He's my bestfriend for pete's sake!" I said as I landed a punch on the floor,looking down once again.
"Don't blame yourself here.You knew this would happen yes,but it's not your fault,it's nobody's fault so don't push yourself too hard alright?" he said as he placed a hand on my shoulder,I looked up at him and saw sincerity in his eyes,I nodded and stood up with a new resolve. He did the same thing and put Link's glasses in his bag.
"Thanks for bringing me back to my old self again,and sorry I didn't seem to catch your name."
"It's no problem,don't mention it! The name's Rhett." he said with a smile.
My eyes widened in shock,so this is the guy who stood up for him!
"I'm Lei.Nice to meet ya,Rhett!" I said with a smile.
"Same here! Alright,enough of that,we have to figure out where Link is right now...Any ideas on where the jocks could have brought him?" he asked as he looked at me.
I started thinking of the possible places they would bring Link. As I dig deep to my thoughts,I snapped my fingers as I got an idea.This is full-proof because I've been in that place before and I saw mostly ropes and some blood..
"The unused room on the second floor,the last corridor.That's where it's located!"
"How did you know that he'll be there?"
"Because I went in there last time"
"Alright,we have to move,now!" he said as we ran towards the location.
I hope you're okay,Link.We're coming to save you!
