No one's POV
As soon as Lei left the house,she texted Rhett that she'll be coming over with a bag of Link's clothes slung over her shoulder.She went to the café to buy Rhett and Link some breakfast,then took a cab and went off to the hospital.
'I hope Link's okay... I wonder what Rhett's doing right now' she thought

*~At the hospital~*
Getting inside the room,she was surprised to see the most adorable thing in front of her
There was Rhett,leaning on Link's bedside,holding his hand,sleeping.
She tried to hold in her squeal,making her smirk instead.She gently closed the door behind her and walked to the bedside table,setting down the plastic bag full of food and the bag that is full of clothes. She sat down on the other chair that was placed on the side.
'Oh gosh,I totally ship them now..eesshh!!! Buuutt...question is...why is Rhett acting like that to Link? and what about the secret admirer?? Hmm...one way to find out!' she thought and shrugged. She took out her phone and took a photo of the two,then settled down on reading.
After hours of waiting,Rhett finally woke up,slowly raising his head.He stifled a yawn and stretched a little bit.He looked at Link,who is still sleeping peacefully,and smiled.He was about to lean in and give him a kiss on the forehead when he felt another presence in the room besides him and Link. He turned around and instantly sat up straight when he saw Lei standing in front of him,arms crossed,a smirk on her face.
"Good Morning to you,Rhett! Took you long enough to wake up!" she said almost cheerfully. Rhett blushed,thinking that he was almost caught. He was faced by Lei again but this time,in her hands is a cup of coffee and a croissant.
"Take it,you might be hungry after watching over Link for a day" she said.Rhett took it and mumbled a thanks,taking a bite on the bread.Lei moved the seat beside Rhett,their chairs facing Link's side of the bed.
"Any news on his condition so far? Any updates?" Lei asked,her face full of worry.
"Nothing so far,but I think he might be traumatized because of the incident." he responded after swallowing the food in his mouth.
"How so?"
"He had a nightmare about it." he said,taking the last bite of the bread and putting the trash on the trashbin which is next to the table. He took the coffee and took a sip,feeling the warm liquid sliding down his throat.
Lei nodded in understanding,taking a glance at Link.
"Have you eaten already?" Rhett looked at Lei. Lei looked back and nodded.
"I've eaten some granola bar on the way,so I'm good" she said.
They went silent for a minute.After Rhett finished his coffee,he threw the cup on the trashbin and sat back down.Lei put her hands inside her blue hoodie pocket,looking at her phone once in a while.Lei decided to break the silence after 5 minutes.
"I know I might be invading your personal space but I'm curious.Why do you want to be friends with him?" she said quietly but enough to be heard.Rhett looked at Lei,surprised. Rhett closed his eyes and sighed quietly,leaning back in the chair.
"I'm gonna be honest with you then,but it's a long story." he said opening his eyes and taking a glance at Lei.
"I have plenty of time" she said,encouraging Rhett to continue. Rhett closed his eyes once more,thinking of what to say,then finally spoke.
"I want to be friends with him because I didn't get the chance to befriend him when we were kids,I'm not even sure if he remembers me.We met when we were 7 years old,he was bullied by three boys and I came to his aid.I walked him home and I never get the chance to introduce myself,I never knew his name,not until I found out from one of the teachers.He was mostly bullied all the time,but I was there to protect him,secretly though.I'm just watching him from a distance and when he's about to be bullied,I would swoop in and prevent that from happening.I don't want him to notice me back then because...I-um.." He suddenly stopped talking,scratching the back of his neck because of nervousness. Lei then tilted her head in confusion.
"Nevermind that.." Rhett stood up and was about to reach for his bag when a pad of red sticky note came out the front of his bag.Lei saw it and her eyes instantly went wide,her hand on her mouth.Rhett hurriedly picked it up and put it on his bag.He took the doorknob and was about to turn it when Rhett got caught off guard when Lei spoke.
"I won't tell him,I promise"
Rhett turned around and looked at Lei,a smile on her face.
"It's nice to know that someone cared for Link other than myself.Also,I kinda knew already.The way you look at him is so full of love I can't help but notice.Plus,I saw the way you held his hand.You saved him from his nightmare huh?"
Rhett blushed and looked down,but nodded. Lei stood and walked up to Rhett,reached for his shoulder and gave him a pat,a smile on her face.Rhett smiled back,happy to know that Lei can be trusted.
"You're like a guardian angel to him,you know that? It's quite cute!" she said and Rhett blushed more,making Lei giggle.
"But aside from that,I'm really happy that you finally had the courage to face him after all this years.Who knows,maybe Link might fall for you too!" Lei winked,Rhett smiled and chuckled.
"I'll let Link take care of that,if he doesn't like me the way I like him then i'll still stay by his side"
"Nonsense! Not gonna happen! How could he not fall for you when you're such a nice person and not to mention his GUARDIAN ANGEL FOR LIFE!!" she said. He chuckled more,feeling his negativity being pushed away and replaced by positivity.
'I sure hope she's right,but no matter what happens,I'll still stay by his side' he thought.
After talking for a while,Rhett told Lei that he has to go home for a while.Lei nodded in understanding. He opened the door when suddenly Lei said something that made him blush madly.
"For the record,I ship Rhett and Link now,otherwise known as RHINK!"
