Part 7

games come thick and fast and now we are heading to the emirates stadium for our home game against Aston Vila. Today is a special day too as Beth is on the bench for the first time in a year. 

We exit the coach and we walk past the fans and into the stadium and into the changing room. I find my spot and start to get ready " where's Ramos" I hear Katie yell " I'm here" I say standing up and Katie walks up to me " there's a little girl in an Arsenal top with your name on it, she said your her favourite player. She asked me if I could get you for a picture" Katie explains " sure, show we where she is" I smile. Katie walks with me back to the players entrance " baby Mead-ema" some fans yell. Yeah, Mead-ema is my nickname around Arsenal, its a combination of Viv's and Beth's surname, it came around once the fans clocked on I live with them. Katie point's to the little girl and I smile at her and walk up to her " hey, how are you" I ask kneeling down to her leave and embrace her in a hug " you're her favourite player" her dad explains " I'm gonna be just like you" she says proudly " aww that's cute, as long as you work hard and stay dedicated, you can achieve anything." I tell her and she smiles "would you like a photo?" I ask with a smile and she nods excitedly, we take some photos and I sigh her top " can I have your top" she asked " where are you sitting, I will find you after the game" I say and her dad tells me where they are sitting and then I go back inside. 

Jonas gives up his pre match pep talk and then we get ready and then Kim walks us out onto the pitch and my ears was engulfed by the roar of the fans. 

The game starts and Villa come at us, on the 25th minute, Villa are on the attack and I block a cross that was coming in, meaning Villa now have a corner. We set up and the ball goes over my head and Maz Pacheco heads it in to make it 1-0 to Villa. We spend the rest of the half trying to get that equaliser but it doesn't come and we go into the break 1-0 down. 

Jonas gives us a telling off and tells us the things we can do to get that equaliser and to get that winning goal as well. 

We start of the second half strong but time is now running out and it is getting later into the game and I hear the crow erupt and I look at the touch line and I see Beth has taken her jacket off and is waiting to come on. Beth finally comes on and I couldn't help but smile and feel proud of her. I have the ball and I look at my options, I can either run forward or swing it into the box, at the last minute I see Catlin make a run down he left, I switch the play and Catlin brings the ball down and then finds Katie, Katie takes a touch and buries it top bins to make it 1-1. We attack again and I run forward, I spot Beth and I pass the ball to her, I run forward " Beth, again" I shout and pout to where I want the ball. Beth see's me but fake passes, even fooling me, she turns and passes to Alessia who is open on the edge of the box and she finesses it bottom right to make it 2-1 in the 94th minute.

The final whistle goes and the first thing I do it run to Beth and embrace her in the tightest hug " Issy, I can't breath" she chuckles " sorry" I chuckle and her go. I see Viv and Leah walking up to Beth so I leave Beth with them and walk up to Katie who is celebrating with the fans, I jump on her back and we walk around for a bit. I go and find that girl from before the match and then give her my shirt as promised then walk back into the changing room for a shower then we leave. 

I sit next to Alessia on the coach and we talk for a bit then we fall into a comfortable silence and then I feel something on my shoulder and I turn to see and Alessia has fallen asleep on my shoulder. I take a selfie and post it on my Instagram story with the caption comfortable there @alessiarusso99 scoring winner's are so tiring  😂

Alessia wakes up not long after " oh my god" she laughs " what?" I ask " the picture you took" she laughs and she shares it to her story. " it's cute though" I chuckle " it is?" she smiles  " what you doing tonight and tomorrow" she asked " sleeping" I chuckle " why?" I ask " want to sleep at mine?" she asked shyly and I can see her blush at bit " sure, I can do" I smile and her smile grows. 

We get to Alessia's and I'm laying on her bed as I wait for her to finish her nightly routine and as I am waiting I get sent some photos by the photographer, there's on where I am on Katie's back and we are both laughing so I decide to post it with the caption

We go McCard, Katie McCard I just don't think you understand, she always get suspended and gets her team in shit.. something something.. like that, right?
