Chapter 9

POV: Koichi

I stood in front of the door of the art room.

I know that [name] told me that I could come to them for any type of help, but I was still nervous about asking them for help.

I tentatively opened the door and peeked inside to see if they were even there.

They weren't.

"What are you doing?"

I jumped and yelped in fear.

Looking behind me it was none other than [name] themselves.

"[name]! You scared me!"

"Pfft-, you were the one who was snooping around. Come on in though, better to talk inside than to take up space out here."

We both walked in and I sat on one of the stools and watched as they began to put on their apron and set out their paints.

This time they were painting a scenery of a young man looking out to the ocean from the dock.

He had what looked to be a long green gakuran not unlike my own. His hair was mid length but what surprised me the most was how bright of a red it was.

The color popped out from the rest of the unfinished painting.

As they began to dip one of their brushes in their paints they turned to me slightly.

"Is there a reason you were snooping around?"

I had almost forgotten the whole reason I was even here in the first place.

"I was wondering if you could help me with some of my math homework?"

"That's it? Sure, why not take it out right now and show me what you need help with?"

So I did, I was lucky to take my bag with me while looking for them.

I asked them a few questions and they would sometimes walk over to me and clarify specifically what I needed to do or what page in the textbook to look into.

It was really helpful actually.

Soon enough the period ended and I had to go back to class, but they offered to walk home with me today, which I took.

I hadn't really seen them after they had begun to head home early, but recently they had been walking back from school with Josuke, Okuyasu, and I again.

I was glad for the change.

They looked a lot less tired than they did before.

Happier.

We walked together, Josuke having left earlier.

It's on the walk back where we encountered none other than Hazamada himself.

"K-Koichi? [name]?"

"Hazamada?"

"Yo."

It was a bit awkward to see him after the whole incident with his Stand, but it was kind of good to see that he was better.

He looked around a bit.

"Where's that asshole- I mean, where's Josuke?"

I then proceeded to explain that Josuke had found an invisible baby, likely a Stand user, and that he was looking for the mother.

Hazamada then leaned in a bit and whispered.

"Uhh, does [name] know about Stands-?"

"I know about Stands Hazamada, no need to whisper."
