4 months later
Lucy anxiously paced around in the bathroom, not knowing five minutes could last that long. 'Hurry up' she whispered to the test. She walked around a little longer, peed again, washed her hands again, and looked at the timer. 'Just a few more seconds' she said to herself. When the timer made the noise, she quickly shut it off, not wanting to wake Tamara. She stared at the test anxiously. It hadn't been her first test, this would be 6th or 7th, but somehow it felt different. She was way more scared, cause what if it was positive? Was she actually ready, was Tim sure he wanted this with her? A thousand thoughts rushed through her head before she put of stop to it and grabbed the test and slowly turned it around.
Pregnant, 3+ weeks
'Oh my god' Lucy said louder than she intended too, but she was completely in her own world. She felt happy, scared, anxious and really excited. After what felt like years staring at the test that would probably change both Lucy's and Tim's life, a voice interrupted her. 'Lucy, are you okay?'. It was Tamara. 'Yeah, yeah, everything is okay' Lucy smiled and paused for a moment. 'I'm pregnant' she said to her. They both started smiling and hugged each other. 'You're gonna be such a cool mom' Tamara said to Lucy. 'The best there is' she added, making Lucy even more happy than she already was.
'I think I wanna tell him now' Lucy said to Tamara as they sat at the table. 'I don't want to wait till midnight, and I can just drop by at the station, he isn't out in city until later tonight' she told Tamara. 'How do you want to tell him though?' Tamara said, already a list in her head filled with ideas of how Lucy could tell him about the baby. 'I think I have an idea' Lucy said with a smile on her face, imagining how Tim would react.
'Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?' Lucy said to a surprised Tim, standing in the doorway of his office. 'Yeah, what are you doing here?' he asked, filled with curiosity why his girlfriend was at the station on her day off. Tim sat down on the edge of the desk and looked at, now clearly anxious, Lucy. 'I have a gift for you, and it really couldn't wait' Lucy said and opened her purse, and grabbed a little gift package. 'I really hope you like this gift, cause I can't really return it' Lucy said, with an anxious chuckle, making Tim frown. She handed him the gift, that was wrapped and looked much like the powder bomb box she gave him. Tim carefully took of the bow and opened the gift. Inside were two little baby boots. Tim looked at the boots, then at Lucy and at the boots again, until his jaw dropped. He put the gift beside him and walked over to Lucy, who now had tears on her cheeks and grabbed her hands. 'You're pregnant?' he asked softly, whilst smiling. 'Yeah, those are for our mini boot' Lucy got out before she really started crying. Tim wrapped his arms around her and give her a long hug, and let some tears go himself. He pulled back after a minute or so and put a strand of Lucy's hair behind her ear. 'You're amazing, you know that?' Tim said before he gave her a kiss, one filled with love and emotion. 'When did you find out?' he asked as he wiped away some of the tears on Lucy's face. 'This morning' Lucy said, squeezing his hand. 'Don't bother keeping it a secret from Tamara, she walked in on me' Lucy laughed, and Tim joined her. 'You can't get anything past her anyways' Tim said, earning a yes from Lucy. 'This is gonna be amazing' Tim said before he pulled Lucy in for another hug. 'Yeah, until I turn into a puky bitch filled with hormones you can't control' Lucy said, making them both laugh.
Lucy shouted a 'hi' into the apartment as she entered. Tamara ran out of her room. 'What did Tim say? You were gone for 3 hours' Tamara said. Lucy said down on the couch before she answered. 'Tim was probably the happiest i've ever seen him, he even cried, though he thinks I didn't notice of course' Lucy chuckled. 'We went to eat somewhere after, cause he won't be home until late tonight' she continued. 'You're not nauseous yet?' Tamara asked Lucy. 'Don't talk about it, I haven't yet and I hope it stays that way' Lucy said with her fingers crossed, before hugging Tamara.
