Lucy is 27 weeks pregnant
Lucy, Tim and Tamara had gathered around the kitchen island this morning. All the construction had been done, thanks to John and Tim too, they now had a bigger living room, an extra bathroom that came in pretty handy and most important of all, the extra bedroom; soon to be nursery. The nursery was the only room that still needed to be painted and decorated, and Lucy and Tim had asked for Tamara's help with the painting. Her room had beautiful murals, and they wanted one in the nursery too. 'Okay, what colours are we thinking?' Tamara said as they stared at all the paint samples in front of them. 'Maybe not too bright' Lucy said as she grabbed a few warmer and darker colours, like slightly darker green, an ochre yellow, a red-purplish bordeaux, dark blue and brown colour. 'Those go really well together' Tim said and took a closer look at the colours. 'Maybe I could do a leaf pattern with white accents? And then a crème white on the other walls?' Tamara asked the two new parents. 'I think that would be awesome T' Tim said with a smile.Tim and Tamara were gonna get all the paint and needed supplies, and Lucy would rest a little more before they would start painting this afternoon. The pregnancy was getting harder on Lucy, and understandably so. She still worked full time, had lived in a construction site for a few weeks, tried to keep the house clean, helped Tamara, wanted to spend quality time with Tim and planned for the baby. So, Tim made sure Lucy had moment to relax now, maybe take a nap, while he went shopping with Tamara. 'So, be honest, how are you feeling about all of this?' Tamara asked him as they were getting the supplies. 'I don't care what you do Tamara, it will be beautiful anyway' Tim said and grabbed a paint roller. 'No dumbass' Tamara said and Tim turned to look at her. 'About the baby, Lucy, all of it' Tamara asked genuinely. Tim sighed before he answered. 'It's scary. It's hard seeing Lucy going through this and not being able to help or take any pain away, and in a few months there will be a little human that's completely dependent on us and I don't want to fail our kid. But at the same time, I can't believe that I'm doing this with Lucy, that its her. I'm lucky to have her, really lucky' Tim said, staring a little. Tamara smiled. 'Do you know how much Lucy loves you? Hell even before you two got together that girl would not shut up about you. And she still can't right now, every time we have dinner together when you're not there, she shares a new insight about you or tells me about what you did that day to make her happy, or just simply smile. Lucy has love for you I have never seen before' Tamara told Tim, and it warmed his heart. 'Thank you, for telling me. You know I love her just as much, right' he checked with the brown haired girl. 'Absolutely' she grinned. Tim walked a little further before he said something. 'I'm thinking of proposing to her' he blurted out, making Tamara stop dead in her tracks. 'You're what?' she yelled with a smile on her face. 'Shh, I don't want the whole store to hear. But yeah, I have been thinking a lot about it recently' Tim said. 'And since you're one of Lucy's favourite people, I would love to get your blessing to do so' Tim asked Tamara. Tamara gave him a hug before she said anything. 'Of course you have my blessing Tim, 100%' Tamara said and smiled at the man she also grew to love, and was happy Lucy had in her life.
'Lucy, we're home' Tamara said into the apartment, but didn't get a response, as they scanned the apartment they could see Lucy sleeping on the bed through the gap in the door. 'I'll go wake her up, so you can start setting up the things in the nursery' Tim said and Tamara nodded. Tim walked into their bedroom and kneeled down next to where Lucy was sleeping. She looked so peaceful, and comfortable and Tim didn't really want to wake her, but he knew Lucy would kill him if they started without her. He put her hair behind ear and gently stroked her arm. 'Luce, wake up' he said softly. It took a moment, but Lucys eyes fluttered open. 'Hey' she said and stretched out her arms and put the around Tims neck. 'Hey' he smiled before he leaned in and gave her a kiss. 'You found everything?' Lucy asked while she got up. 'Yes, Tamara is setting everything up as we speak' Tim said and helped his girlfriend up. 'Okay, lets get started than' Lucy said with a smile and walked over to where their baby was gonna sleep.
