Today marked Tim and Lucy's one year anniversary, and they were for sure celebrating it. Usually Tim wouldn't make big deals of anniversaries but with Lucy everything was different. So tonight, after work, they would go out for dinner, walk the boardwalk and finally watch a movie at home, cuddling on the couch; all in all doing what they liked most. 'You excited for tonight?' Tim asked as he grabbed his coffee and sat down next to Lucy at the island. 'What do you think' she smiled at Tim. 'I really am, can't believe it's been a year already' Lucy continued before she gave Tim a kiss on his cheek and got up. 'Yeah, me neither' he returned to his girlfriend, before he finished his coffee and they got ready to leave for work.
'There's our happy couple! Happy anniversary guys' Angela said as they walked into the station, heading for the changing rooms. Angela was still a big fan of the couple, and happy for her best friend to have found someone that loved and cared for him so much, and made him the happiest Angela had seen him. 'Thank you' Lucy smiled and Tim put his arm around her. 'Any plans for today?' she asked the two. 'First dinner, than a walk and finally watching a crappy movie at home' Tim answered and Lucy looked at him, eyes filled with love, like they usually were when she looked at the man. 'Sounds good, enjoy it while you can. Wesley and I barely see each other now that there are kids in play' she said, making both of them laugh. 'Well, good for us that it's still the two of us' Tim said before they continued their way to the changing rooms.
Tim and Lucy thought they wouldn't see each other until the end of shift, but due to an unexpected operation, Metro, the detectives and all P2's had to join hands and take down a few big criminals, so Lucy and Tim would be working today after all. Lucy in her new role as detective, since she recently passed her detectives exam. She had decided to go into intelligence, mostly because that was the most interesting to her, but also since she didn't want to do narcotics, the second best option; she didn't want to put Tim in unnecessary worry and stress, because of all that happened with Isabel. 'You're riding with me' Tim said and caught up to Lucy in the hallways, who was walking towards the shop with the bags, filled with the right arms to get the operation done. 'I'm happy to' she smiled and handed one of the bags to Tim.
Once they got to the site where the criminals were supposedly hiding, the group split up. Lucy and Aaron would go into one of the bigger sheds on the property to clear it, and the rest of the team would take the other 3 buildings. As Tim moved forward with his group, he waited for Angela's sign to barge in. Once they got that, the door was barged open and the Metro officers ran in. 'LAPD, show yourself' Tim yelled in to the house, that had clearly been deteriorating over the last couple of years and looked somewhat abandoned. They started searching the house and it wasn't long until they heard the floorboards creak and ran up stairs. After a short, but easily winnable struggle, Tim got the man into custody and handed him over to one of his colleagues so he could screen the rest of the house.
After the crew cleared most of the buildings on the property, Tim checked in with Lucy and Aaron over the radio. '7-Adam-100, what's your status' he said into his radio and waited for an answer. He didn't get one immediately, and didn't get too worried too fast; it could be that they were capturing one of the accomplices as we speak. But after Tim repeated his question a few moments later, and there was still no answer, he did get worried. 'Angela, check with Chen and Torsen on your radio' he said to her, but Angela got radio silence too. They started making their way over to the shed and scanned around the old building. 'Tim, there's blood' Angela said, urged. They made their way into the shed and on the ground were Lucy and Aaron. Tim and Angela rushed over to them, and Tim got on the ground next to his girlfriend. 'Lucy' he said, worry clear in his voice and softly shook her shoulders. He noticed a wound on her arm, probably made by a knife cut and bruises on the rest of her body. 'Luce' he repeated, a little harder this time. She groaned in pain and opened her eyes. 'Tim' she said, groggy. 'T-they took us out b-before we could even do something' she stuttered. 'It's okay, are you hurt anywhere else than your arm' he said and helped her sit up. 'I got a few hard kicks here and there, then they cut me and hit me on the head with something, but I think I'm okay' she said quietly and touched the spot on her head where was hot. When she looked at her hand, there was blood, and Tim noticed it too. 'How long is that ETA in the RA?' he asked though his radio and was told that it would be another 5 minutes. 'Tell them to hurry' Angela said. 'Aaron isn't breathing regularly' she said worriedly. Lucy looked at him and tears formed at the sight of Aaron lying on the ground. He had been stabbed in his abdomen and head a large wound in the side of his head.
