Sarian pov:
I ran to the spot where Cassian disappeared from, completely confused. Where did he go? I tried focusing on his scent but someone stopped me.
"What the fuck was that?!" Sami yelled at me, causing me to lose focus.
I looked at him, angrily pushing him back. "Shut up I'm trying to find him!" I said, trying to go back to focusing.
"Why didn't you tell us your human wasn't human?" He seethed. "I'm calling our brothers, we'll find him."
I grabbed him by his throat, pulling him in. "You will tell no one. I will find him myself. I'll explain later."
"Y- you know how important Red is to uncle."
"You will keep your mouth shut if you know what's good for you." My eyes flashed blue for a split second. I pushed him back so hard he stumbled and fell on his ass.
I finally was able to concentrate enough to find him. I teleported to him instantly. He was in a room I wasn't familiar with, cuddling pillows.
I walked over to him. "Cassian." I said softly. I wanted to touch him but decided against it. He looked so vulnerable. I'd never seen him like this before. Like everything in him hurt. It was different than when I was torturing him. He definitely wasn't enjoying this.
"Don't come closer." He whispered.
I stepped back. "What's wrong?" I looked at him. "Did someone hurt you?" I wanted to rush over to him and inspect for any injuries.
"Are you excited to see me?"
I was confused but answered nevertheless. "Of course." I inched closer.
He sat up and glanced at me with his usual look. "I'm messing with you, why are you here?" He sounded like he was totally fine.
I rolled my eyes. "Sami called and said you were having a panic attack? When I teleported to you, you attacked Sami and looked like you would've finished him if I didn't step in." I looked at him. "What's- what happened?"
"I don't like your brothers...was that news to you?" He held his hand behind his back while leaning back nonchalantly.
"So you're completely fine?" I asked to make sure.
"Never been better."
I could tell he wasn't being completely honest but I decided not to push it. "Okay...I have to go apologize to my uncle. I was in the middle of a debriefing with him." I was already exhausted just thinking about it.
"Stay."
I turned to him with an annoyed sigh. "Why? You're fine right? One second you're fucking freaking out and the next you're completely fine. I don't have time for your mind games Cassian." I was genuinely worried about him and he's acting like it was nothing.
