chapter thirty.

"Stella" i snap out of my trance from the volleyball game infront of me . As i look for the source who called me "huh" i manage to say to the 3 girls next to me .
April chuckles as she grabs her book out of my hand which i was clutching the shit out of "I'll just hold onto this" she waves the book infront of me as i roll my eyes.

"Im not jealous" i fold my arms as i stare forward at the volleyball game. Zaids team with his 3 new possy girls score another point as kelly leans onto him and laugh. My eye twitches as i stare at the scene "hm , we're sure you aren't "rory nods her head slowly as i glare at her.

"Don't act like the cheap blonde knockoff who keeps on jumping on miguel doesn't faze you" her mouth opens and then closes as i nod "thats what i thought"

"3 girls . We need 3 girls. Any volunteers!" comes a male voice from a new team. I see zaid and his team celebrating on the otherside as the other team waits for new players.

An evil grin spreads across my face as i turn my head to april and rory "fuck yes" april seems to read my mind as i loosen my hair and frizz it out . April and rory does the same . I lean down on the ground next to lia whose busy building sandcastles "will you be our cheerleader kid?" I whisper to her.

And her big eyes shine with excitement as she nods and stands up and claps hands "go team!" She fists her hands up in the hair and i nod.

"...going once , going twice-

"We'll do it" i lift my hand up as april and rory comes to stand on each side of me. Zaids teams hollering stops short as they hear my voice. My brother furrows his eyebrows as miguel narrows his eyes. But im looking at zaid. He clenches his jaw as i wink at him and step towards the other team.

Game on.

I found out that each team as 6 players so which means it was me rory and april. And three other guys. I stop infront of the guy who spoke as he looks at me up and down and smirks. He's hot. He gives off a beach boy vibe. He has sandy blonde hair with hazel eyes and thin lips. I smile at him as he sticks his hand out "my name is ethan ,nice to meet you" i nod "stella and you too. These are my friends rory and april" he looks at them and nods. He shows them their positions which is on each side of the other two guys.

And he places me right next to him "You're here by me cutie" he smirks as i blush and nod. I dont even need to look up to see zaids glare . I can feel it. I look up as i put my hands on my hips and he is indeed staring at me.

He's hand clenches around the ball as i smirk at his reaction. Someone's mad. Kelly comes to touch his arm and my smirk falls as i glare at her. He snaps his attention away from me as he turns to her.

I shake my head as i look at lia and give her a thumbs up. She jumps up and down and nods and gives me two thumbs up which i smile to.

"So shall we begin?" Ethans voice rings out as we all nod. I grip my feet into the warm sand as i take stance. Good thing i know how to play otherwise this all would've blown up in my face.

The score is 2-2 and we have to win this .Zaid takes the ball and hits it up in the sky with his big tattooed hands . We all wait in anticipation as the ball comes flying down on our side. It comes straight for me as i put my hands together and jump up and hit the ball in the sky. My one shot is closed so i cant hit another one. Ethan jumps up and hit the ball again to zaids team and it goes in the raven haired girls direction. She goes to hit it but misses as i jump up and scream. I jump up into ethans arms as i shake him.

Stella -1
Zaid -0

I jump down from ethans arms as i smile and push my hair out of my face . I turn to him "we won right?" He chuckles as he nods "yes we won. One point means we won the game"
