Ellie opens her eyes and nods.
"Okay then... I don't see why not. Just one more night."

"Okay..."

Ellie nods and looks away for a moment*
"If we were to do one last night, when would you want to do it?"

"Tonight."

Ellie seems shocked again.
"Tonight...? This is awfully on short notice... are you completely sure you want to do this so soon?"

"Because the quicker the better."
Katie replies.

Ellie sighs.
"Okay then. Tonight it is..."
Ellie pauses for a moment.
"Well... can we at least make the most of tonight then...?"

"Yes..."

Ellie nods and smiles.
"Okay then... tonight will be the one and only night we'll spend together. Just one single final time, and then that's it. What do you think we should spend the night doing then?"

"I have no idea."
Katie says.

"Well then... if you can't think of anything, how about we just go to my place and watch that movie you love so much? Like, The Nightmare Before Christmas? I remember you saying how nice it is. Maybe we could just watch the movie together and talk about stuff? How does that sound?"
Ellie asks.

"That's perfect."
Katie smiles softly.

Ellie smiles back.
"Okay then... if that sounds good to you, then that's what we'll do. I still can't believe this is actually happening, but we're really going to get one last night together... and honestly, that makes me a bit... happy..."

"How come?"
Katie asks confused.

"It's because, even though I know this is just one single night and we're going to break up after it's over, I still get the chance to spend one final night with you. All alone. Nobody else involved, nobody else distracting us, just you and I. Just like when we were together. It'll be the last time I'll get to hold you, or cuddle you, or even kiss you. We can just... relax and enjoy each other's company like we used too... just one last time..."

Katie smiles.
"Yea that's nice."

Ellie nods and smiles.
"So... I guess I'll see you later tonight, then? Do you want me to pick you up, or do you wanna just meet me there?"

"We can go right now...?"
Katie asks.

Ellie is stunned by this reply.
"You want to go right now...? Like... right now right now?"

"Yes it the last night and its already 5pm."

Ellie thinks for a moment.
"Sure... we can go right now if you want. We should probably get going then, before it gets too late."

"Okay."

Ellie smiles and starts to walk out the door.
"If you wanna follow me, that is, unless you wanna ride with me in the car?"

"I'll go with you."
Katie says.

Ellie opens the car door for her.
"After you, my dear..."

"Thank you..."
Katie blushes just like before. It felt like old times.

Ellie smiles softly and closes the door when she gets inside. She gets in the drivers seat and starts the motor before she begins to drive to her house.

In the car ride is verry quiet.
They can feel this strange, almost nostalgic atmosphere between the two of them. In some odd way, it feels like she is about to embark on a brand new adventure together, even though both of them know exactly this will just be one short night. But for some reason, it doesn't even feel that way, for some reason this just feels like one last night together, a time to remember, and a sweet send-off to the end of their relationship...

They soon pull up in front of Ellies house. She parks the car in the driveway and looks over at her.
"And here we are... do you wanna go in right now or do you wanna take a moment to breathe first?"

"I'm good, thank you"
Katie smiles softly at her.

Ellie smiles softly and nods.
"A-Okay... well, if you're ready... I guess let's go in then..."
