Kevin told me he could play football.
It was one of his many hobbies.The most knowledge I had on football included a group of men chasing a ball in a humongous green field and that it was the sport Viola played instead of her brother in she's the man.
But would I tell him that? Absolutely not.
I told him my favourite player was someone called Messi. I hope I got that right considering it was the easiest name from the list I was able to google in time to answer him.
His eyes faltered and I knew that I fucked up.
"Oh I see." He mumbled, "I'm more of a Ronaldo supporter."
It was the name that stuck considering I had to pick amongst a few, while he continued naming few more. Was it too late to change my side of the team?
I could only muster a smile in return.
"Hey!" He suddenly jerked, his body turning towards mine, reducing the distance between us. I sat frozen on my seat, unblinking as my eyes narrowed in on his broad shoulders.
"You can come to my game, this weekend."
I swallowed before nodding.
