The dread turned into a sharpened knife that was plunged deep into my heart at the sight before me.
In the same alley where Kevin and I had shared our moments of passion and love, stood Marisol in my stead with her tongue down his throat.
I couldn't control the gasp that escaped my lips, the pain in my heart deepening as my vision blurred. The knot in my throat was stuck and wouldn't go down, my limps were frozen and couldn't move away.
I was rooted to my spot as both of them took notice of me, the woman muttering a curse under her breath before dipping from the sight, leaving a bewildered man in the dark.
Kevin approached me with a purposeful stride, nothing in his demeanour seeming out of place.
