"How much did you get on the test?" Diego asked, trying to sneak a peek at my paper from behind. "An A+," I replied, turning the tables on him. "What about you?"

Diego's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? How? That test was super difficult! How did you get an A+?"

I chuckled, feeling a sense of pride. But my joy was short-lived, as I was suddenly jolted awake in my bed, drenched in sweat. It was just a dream, but the memory of it lingered.

I got out of bed, careful not to disturb Jessica, who was still fast asleep. I headed to the bathroom to wash my face, trying to shake off the lingering fear from my nightmare. After splashing some cold water on my face, I snapped out of it and began my morning routine.

Downstairs, Richard, my butler, greeted me with his usual British charm. "Good morning, Miss Hernandez."

"Hey Richard, do I have any messages?" I asked, heading to the kitchen to prepare my protein shake.

"Yes, actually, two," he replied. "One from your father, and the other from Jack."

My eyes rolled at the mention of my father, but I asked anyway, "What did he send?"

Richard hesitated before speaking. "An invitation to a gathering next month. Your father plans to announce something."

I felt my anger rising, but I kept my cool. "I don't think I'll be attending."

Richard nodded and continued, "And Jack's message was brief. He needs to meet you behind the Hollywood sign. He says it's urgent."

My heart began to race. We only meet at that location for serious matters. I grabbed my car keys and headed out, instructing Richard to have Tyler drive Jessica home when she woke up.

With that, I sped off in my Aston Martin, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
