There wasn't a single flaw
Not one I could ever find
I'd just stare in awe
Because he was all mine
He moved like a tree
Swaying with the breeze
And his smile was enchanting
He only needed some understanding
But he took all of me
He burnt my earth to the ground
And he dried up all the sea
All he left was a note
It said will you just wait please?
It sparked a little hope
But then I began to freeze
He wants me to wait
But he drained my sea
he came back and when he did
He planted a seed
In the earth that is me
And now I'm on fire
But at least there's a tree
