Author's pov:

*Martinus woke up to the soft glow of morning light filtering through his curtains. It was a special day — Christmas. He stretched, yawning, and glanced at the clock on his bedside table. The festive atmosphere filled the air, and he could hear the distant sound of Christmas carols playing in the neighborhood.**As he reached for his phone, a notification popped up on the screen. It was a call from Teodora. A warm smile crossed his face as he answered the call.*

Martinus: (excited) Hei, Teodora! Merry Christmas!

*Martinus's cheerful voice resonated through the phone, carrying the holiday spirit across borders.*

Teodora: (enthusiastic) God jul, Martinus! Today is not my Christmas but thanks.

Martinus: Is it tommorow then?

Teodora: Nei..It is on 7. January.

Martinus: Ohh, sorry, my bad.

Teodora: It's okey, you didn't know. How are you celebrating today?

Martinus: (grinning) Well, we're planning to have a cozy family celebration. You know, the usual Christmas traditions — decorating the tree, exchanging gifts, and, of course, enjoying a festive meal.

Teodora: That sounds wonderful! In Serbia, we have our own traditions. We gather with family, exchange gifts on Christmas Eve, and have a festive meal on Christmas.

Martinus: (smiling) It's amazing how we all celebrate in our unique ways, yet there's this universal feeling of joy and togetherness.

Teodora: Absolutely. It's like a global celebration of love and unity.

*As they chatted about their Christmas plans, Martinus suddenly suggested something that sparked excitement in Teodora.*

Martinus: Hey, would you like to see how we celebrate Christmas here I can give you a virtual tour!

Teodora: (enthusiastic) That sounds like a fantastic idea! Show me around.

*Martinus took his phone and walked through his home, sharing glimpses of the festive decorations, the Christmas tree adorned with ornaments, and the preparations for the Christmas feast. Teodora felt a sense of connection.*

Teodora: (impressed) Everything looks so festive and cozy. Thanks for sharing this with me. The only thing I can show you is my room, which is quite decorated, and the living room where there is a Christmas tree. We are still decorating the other rooms.

Martinus: Come on, show me around.

Teodora: Well, this is my room. We start from the very entrance and here you can see the bed upstairs, my brother sleeps downstairs and me upstairs, of course.

*As she continued to show the room, across from the bed is a medium-sized television. On the left side next to the TV was her desk and on the right side was a wall and a beautiful single heart with pictures of Marcus and Martinus //The picture is on the thumbnail//.*

Martinus: Jesus Christ, how sweet, God, you're not normal. But I'm missing one picture..

Teodora: Which one?

Martinus: (smirking) Our joint picture.

Teodora: (Taking out the picture from the phone case and showing it) I keep it in the phone cover, don't worry.

Martinus: (blushing) Maybe one day, we can celebrate Christmas together in person.

Teodora: (smiling) Well, we must have two Christmas then, haha.

Martinus: (smiling too)That's okey for me.

Teodora: (smiling and blushing a bit) Anyway, I don't want to bother you, go and celebrate this beautiful holiday.

Martinus: I will, have a nice day, and thank you for this call.

Teodora: Thank you

*As the call ended, Martinus couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendships he had formed, transcending borders and cultures and different Christian faith.*

*The rest of the day unfolded with joyous moments, from unwrapping presents to singing Christmas carols together. As the evening drew to a close, Martinus found a quiet moment to reflect on the year gone by and the friendships that had enriched his life.*
