Romeo and Juliet:

Love Conquers Everything

"I walked unsteadily up the stairs, as a young man of 17, calling out, 'BENJAMIN!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!' Suddenly, my best friend popped out of thin air, cackling.

'Hi, Benji,' I said. My heart was now pounding.

'I really enjoy being at the Montaugue house. The ambiance is satisfactory.' I slowly and frightfully walked into my house. The massive doors and long windows had always scared me, and that day, it seemed to stare down at me, illuminating Benjamin II creepily. Shuddering, I looked away.

When I was by the library room, I stopped and began to study for my math finals. I grabbed a mathematics book from the shelves and got to studying.

After about ten minutes of peace, there was a subtle, 'knock, knock,' on the front door. I anxiously scurried to the door and opened it. There was a letter from my friend Juliet Capulette, who I just might've had a crush on. Excited, I tore the letter open, revealing a party invitation. At the bottom she had added a little heart, making my heart, that belonged to Juliet, jump with joy.

Too happy to focus, I stopped studying and crept outside, careful not to let my parents find out. I walked along the sidewalk, stopping when an old man grabbed my arms.

'DO YOU LIVE IN THAT OLD BLOODWORTH HOUSE?!' he exclaimed, making me jump.

'Y-yes, but I didn't know it belonged to a person named B-Bloodworth.'

'Aaahhhh, yes. The person who used to own it was named Benjamin Bloodworth. He was the world's most ruthless murderer. When he died, people say he haunted his house. He still does, to this day...' On that happy note, he pulled his hoodie over his head and jogged away.

Eh. It's fine. He's old, probably going crazy anyway, I thought, making my way home. The only thing that stuck in my head was the name... Benjamin.

The next day, I got in the car with my tuxedo and tie. Every moment away from Juliet and the party was killing me, so I punched the gas, ignoring the cold, icy feeling. All I could think about was her as I sped along the road.

When I arrived at the party, I jumped out of the car, grabbing the little ring I had gotten for her present. I looked over at her, and my heart fluttered with excitement. She looked beautiful in her traditional pink dress. Running over, I gave her a long, intimate hug. I slowly dragged myself away, feeling my cheeks grow red. Juliet smiled shyly as she pulled me to the party area.

We began dancing to slow, fast, and funky music. I desperately wanted to enjoy my time with Juliet, but the words the old man had spoken lingered in the back of my head.

Suddenly, I heard a scream. 'GHOST!! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!' I looked over as Benji swirled around Juliet's friend Daisy and engulfed her. Screams rang in my ears. Chaos ensued as people scrambled away from the floating entity. Seconds later, Benji dropped the lifeless body on the ground. Juliet rushed over, crying, tears rolling down her face.

'BENJI STOP IT NOW!!' I screamed frantically. He scowled, turning around and revealing a grotesque face. Benji turned on me, swirling around me.' My name is Benjamin Bloodworth!!! I have only put up with you for this!' A chill rippled through my body and echoed down my bones. With that, he circled around me, making me fall to the ground, taking a last look at Juliet's beautiful face. I had to tell her before I died.

'I love you, Juliet,' I exclaimed, falling down, down, down into eternal darkness.

THE END ...or is it?"

"Looking down at Romeo's lifeless body, my heart snapped into a thousand pieces. When he said his last words, I knew that my love life was no less tragic than the original Juliet. With that realization, I sobbed, running over to Romeo. Tears running down my cheeks, I grabbed his cold face, kissing him for the first and sadly, last, time.

Suddenly, as I pulled away, our lips glowed with a golden magic. It flowed through our veins, our hearts glowing simultaneously. Romeo slowly opened his eyes, and the only way I could explain that miracle was the old legend of the True Love's Kiss.

As Romeo leisurely arose off of the floor, he looked me in the eyes and said, 'What... just... happened?' My eyes filled with tears yet again, as we embraced each other for the first of many times.

'Romeo... I love you too,' I cried out. My joy overcame my body. 'But right now, we have something more important to do. Let's defeat Benji once and for all!' We joined hands and Romeo spoke steadily.

'Benji, you might be strong, but you are still no match to the power of love!!!' And with that, a golden aura emitted out of us and blasted Benjamin Bloodworth out of the room and into the eternal abyss."

EPILOGUE, 15 years later

Our younger son, Antonio, exclaimed, "Mom, now, after listening to the story, one day I want to find true love too!"

"Yeah, same!!" exclaimed Viola, the oldest at 13.

"Wow!! You and Dad really love each other, don't you?!" our daughter, Cleopatra, exclaimed.

"Yes, we do," I exclaimed, kissing my husband Romeo.

"Love conquers everything." We said, embracing.
